My Mom has been sick with Cancer for the last 5 years. I am 26 years old and I love her to pieces. I do not want to let her down. I have been suffering with severe depression lately since she has been getting sicker and sicker and spent about 90 days of the last 130 in hospitals and emergency rooms. I wanted to try an anti depressant, but thought I was just being a big baby or something for not being able to "handle" all of this.

I have finally decided to ask my Dr, and I want to know if ANYONE out there has tried Cimbalta yet? I tried Lexapro once and did not like it. Does anyone know by PERSONAL experience if Cimbalta works? Can anyone help me find a way to get councelling although I have no insurance? I live in Tucson, AZ.

Thanks,

Meg

How did your experience alter your life? When I was diagnosed, at the age of 13, it had a dramatic effect on my relationships with family, friends, and my peers. I can't help but think that the whole experience still has some sort of effect upon me even to this day. Mind you, this was 30 years ago. Am I nuts for thinking this?

sorry for so many questions but im very curious,
if one has testicular cancer or something that can be removed can u just need the surgery to remove it if it is caught early enough, or do u still need chemo regardless

When I got my pap results they came back abnormal for high risk HPV. I have an appointment scheduled with an OB/GYN for them to do more tests...but I dont know what to expect. i just have a lot of questions about it, what is a chemo session, how long does one take, how is chemo given to a patient, is it done in a normal hospital, does everyone who gets surgery to remove the cancerous part need it or is it only when it advances to different body part?
thanks any other info i would be interested to hear

My grandpa just got through his first dose of chemo and had no side effects what so ever. Will the side effects get worse over time, or will it continue to be this painless for him?

I heard about a new vaccine that has been developed that stops the niccotine from reaching your brain. This prohibits the addiction to niccotine which is one of the main factors for with smokers and thier inablitiy to quit smoking. I say bring on the vaccine and stop the madness of smoking poisons that have taken the lives of so many. Check it out and give your opinion!

Hello, I am 37 year old mom of two kids. Last month I had a somewhat tender breast lump before my period. Doctor ordered an ultrasound. The ultrasound happened after my period when I could no longer feel the lump. Ultrasound found nothing. I also went back to doctor who did breast exam and felt nothing. Now, it is back again and tender, and yes I am due for my period in about a week. What is this? Could it be breast cancer? I do not want to deal with this scare every month. Help!

In 2005 I had Radiation treatment for Breast Cancer. I seem to be healing fine, and all my check-ups are fine.
But in December 2006, I caught my first bad cold which went into bronchitis - bad coughing.
Ever since then, my rib cage has been sore. My doctor took a chest xray to see if I had cracked a rib, but it showed everything was normal. He said it takes a long time for the muscles to heal from all the coughing, and told me to take extra calcium.
Anyone have any idea what is going on ? How long am I going to be sore like this ? Anything else that I can do to feel better ?
