Avoid over reliance on artificial chemical sprays or roll-ons. Most of these are detrimental to your health. Water is the best means to keep away odour and dirt.

No-
I realize there are tons of internet/email rumors, but please, be careful when people use "pseudo-science" to back up their claims. People with no education, reading one -sided internet pages (and anyone can create a website or write their opinion on any matter) are not the candidates to get your answers from. Some enjoy being "alarmists," and while there are many ails in the world, there is no reason to be paranoid. If these people would take a few chemistry and biology classes (and hey- human anat & phys helps) then they can distinguish between the good and the bad information on the internet.

Again, no- it does not cause cancer.

No. There is no conclusive scientific evidence, lots of rumors though. There have been studies done too to see if there is any connection, but still no evidence.

American Cancer Society: Facts about deoderants

It's also considered one of the top ten cancer myths:
"8) Can wearing antiperspirants and deodorant cause cancer?
There is no conclusive evidence from recent studies that wearing them can cause breast cancer. This cancer myth is by far one of the most popular among women."

Some deodorants have aluminium in them and call cause cancer. I would not cook with aluminium pots either. Also check out your toothpaste.

Not all...but the ones with harmful aluminum (like aluminum ziconium tetrachlorohydrex GLY) will increase your chance of getting cancer (since it's a carcinogen)...
