I was recently diagnosed with prostate cancer. I have researched many web sites to help me determine which treatment(s) to choose. Has served to confuse rather than enlighten. Any advice?

My father has lung cancer and has had chemo and radiation for 3 months. He had his final chemo about a month ago. He has had a lot of other things go wrong since then, Diabetes, Extremely low blood pressure, Blood transfusion, Dehydration and a lung infection. It was only after his last two doses of chemo (wich were very strong ) that he has experienced extreme fatigue and loss of energy. We were just wondering how long he should expect the tiredness to last. Thanks.

How long does it take to see symptoms after getting the cancer? What is the usual mortality rate after diagnosis? My brother in law just told the family he has bone cancer and has weeks to live he won't tell much more won't tell anything more. Thank you to anyone who can help me to understand this apparently virulent cancer.

My 3 yo indoor cat has had medical problems since April 2006. I've been taking him to the vet pretty much every 1-4 weeks since then. Needless to say, I've spent well over $6000. The vets aren't exactly sure what's wrong with him. They are suspecting Leukemia, although the bone marrow aspirate we had done was negative. The internal medicine vet suggested we have a "clonality study" done. They can take a blood sample to look at his lymphocytes (which have been elevated) and determine if they are cancerous, and whether they're mature or immature, along with some other things.

My questions are-- has anyone ever heard of a Clonality Study? Does anyone have any idea how much this will cost me (the vet hasn't yet found out from the pathologist that will be performing the study). Any info. on Clonality Studies and your experiences with them would be greatly appreciated, as I have never heard of them before now and don't really have a clue about them. Thank you very much!

I’m scared and sad. I got a call from my dad today that my grandma’s cancer is back. Her ovarian cancer had been in remission for over 6 years. But in the last two weeks her blood count has doubled ever two or three days. She is old and is not in the best of health and because of that they are treating her pain only. What I’m scared my mom is dealing with cancer at moment also. My mom’s mom had terminal cancer in the late 60’s before she was killed by a drunk driver. To top that off there is not a woman on my mother’s side that has been able to keep their female parts after 30 years of age. At the moment things seem to so bleak. I am angry, hurt and scared. I don’t know to with these feelings.
