My fiancee was recently diagnosed with an agressive form of bone cancer and I just don't know what to do or say to make him feel better when the prognosis is as bad as it is.I'm doing the very best I can to stay strong for him but I'm absolutely terrified. He's only 27 and I can't lose him.I've talked to his doctor about his upcoming treatment but was still to much in shock to absorb much. What can I expect the next few months to be like? What can I do to make this easier on him?

About a month ago I was offered an amazing job opportunity that would require me to move a 2 day drive from my home town. Two weeks ago my husband of 5 years was diagnosed with an agressive form of cancer and his doctor has strongly discouraged moving at this time. Both our parents and brothers have been made aware of the situation and are willing to do whatever it took to get him through it,I have made arrangements for him to get the best medical care possible and I'll be able to afford to fly back to visit him every second weekend once I get settled in.Problem is,he doesn't want me to go.I hate having to leave him right now but this opportunity is simply to good to pass up and if I did I know I'd regret it for life.I know if the situation were reversed I'd understand so why is he being so childish about this? Why won't he just compromise?I leave in two weeks and I just don't know how to get through to him.Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Lately i have been reading on Otta Walburg who was a great scientist and he won several Noble Prizes, one of which showed the fundamental difference between a cancerous cell and a normal cell. Cancerous cell prouduce fuel to keep alive by ways of fermentation (available when there is lack of oxygen) whereas normal cell uses oxygen by respiration.

Why don't we ever hear about this great discovery? I am sure the drug companies would love to hide this vital piece of information because exercise and eating mostly alkaline foods would keep the oxygen supply high inside the body and thus prevent cancer. Although there are numerous external factors that probably contribute to cancer but still should we not be spending more time in contributing more to the research of Otto Walburg?

My mom has recurring melanoma. She had a lump removed just above ankle. The doctor said there is more cancer around "lump" area but it is difficult to remove. She is seeing a specialist next week. A PET Scan said the rest of her body was clear of cancer. The info on WebMD.com does not seem vey promising for recurring melanoma, yet the negative PET scan gives us hope. Any suggestions from those of you having dealt with similar situation? Thanks in Advance.

I have a question about lung cancer. About 5 months ago, I had a bad case of bronchitis. It scared me because I looked at my symptoms on the internet before going to the doctor and was convinced I had lung cancer. Over the past 5 months I have had 5 x-rays and seen three different doctors. All of them tell me that I do not have cancer and that the x-rays are clean. But can't x-rays miss it? If the cancer has started causing symptoms isn't it big enough to show up on x-ray.

Oh, I quit smoking (34 years old, pack a day for 12 years) as soon as I got the bronchitis. Now, all I'm having is some chest/shoulder pains. Which makes me wonder if it is cancer.

Can someone help? Thanks.
