Recurring melanoma?

Question

My mom has recurring melanoma. She had a lump removed just above ankle. The doctor said there is more cancer around "lump" area but it is difficult to remove. She is seeing a specialist next week. A PET Scan said the rest of her body was clear of cancer. The info on WebMD.com does not seem vey promising for recurring melanoma, yet the negative PET scan gives us hope. Any suggestions from those of you having dealt with similar situation? Thanks in Advance.

Also in the alternative medicine arena--

In 1990, I had Hodgkin's Lymphoma, stage 3-B, but I've survived. My doctors were great people, but they really couldn't tell me squat about cancer. During the year in treatment, I started learning about alternative medicine.

Here's what I've figured out--FIRST, somebody--probably connected to the AMA--is getting my answers deleted as 'not a question or an answer', because they don't want you to know about this. Cancer is caused by poor nutrition (including oxygen), which leads to a compromised immune system, and by stressors. Stressors can be environmental, like heavy metals, pesticides, food additives, electromagnetic waves or pollution. They can be internal things like emotional or job stress, or poisonous people in our lives. Aging and lack of exercise are also contributing factors.

Our bodies have 60 trillion--yes, trillion--cells, and there are always some mutating into cancer cells, but a healthy immune system kills them before they have a chance to get a foothold in the body.
It takes a LONG time, usually, or an exrtaordinary amount of stressors, to degrade the immune system to the point where it won't do its job, but once cancer has formed, it will generally spread rapidly.

I know of people whose cancer has 'spontaneously remitted' (WENT AWAY for no known reason) after they went on programs of herbs and nutrition that restart our immune systems.

The American Medical Association (AMA) and the pharmaceutical companies control medical law and the FDA in this country with a revolving door policy and heavy lobbying. In 2004, medicine was a 1.1 TRILLION dollar business--about 1/4th of the total economy. That's just too big to care about individuals. You and your family must look out for yourselves to stand a chance of being healthy.

I believe your mother will be taken back to surgery for a wide resection and skin graft over the melanoma area. It is imperative that she does this asap and not waste another minute.
Melanoma can be deadly. She will probably have node removal above the melanoma to see if it has spread to her lymphatic system. They call this a sentinal node biopsy.

Recently a friend of mine had been diagnosed with skin cancer. He had done some research and found a company that sold herbal remedies. He tried their products for a couple of months and went back to his doctor only to find that he has no signs of cancer. He said that all he took were herbs both internally and applied herbs extracts on his skin. The company that he called is Raintree Nutrition. I believe that you do a search on the Internet for this company. Good Luck.

Melanoma is very serious and something you must keep checking for. Her doctor should be an Oncologist, preferably one who works mostly with melanoma. Herbal medicines could possibly help, but don't use it place of your oncologist.
