I've had eczema since i was born but what everyone else says about there eczema sounds a lot different then what I have. Are there different kinds? people say that it itches and some say the get red bumps. I only have it one my face, mostly around my eyes, and they never itch. Its just get red blotches and sometimes sore. It also seems like the condition of my eyes is determined by the water i use to wash my face.

Any answere would be greatly appreciated.

I have gestational diabetes. My doctor called in a prescription to my pharmacy (Rite Aid) on Friday evening. The guy working there told me that Tricare wouldn't cover any of the cost and Medicare (Part B) wouldn't pay for it because my doctor didn't give a "diagnostic code". I asked how much it would cost without insurance. The guy said that he would call my doctor on Monday and see about either changing my prescription to something Tricare would cover or giving the diagnostic code so Medicare would cover it. I went back Saturday and today, and got the same answer.
I'm supposed to have the testing supplies by Monday, to take to my doctor/diabetes educator/nutritionist appointment in the afternoon.
I'm hoping that everything works out with my insurance so I won't have to pay, but if not, I'll have to pay out of pocket (if I can afford it).

About how much does diabetes testing supplies (meter thing, strips, needles, whatever else I'll need) cost? (I won't need insulin.)

I love my uncle very much. But I just lost him through a heart attack. I have a couple of questions. If he had survived the first few minutes then does that mean he might have survived? If he'd had medical intervention after that point? If the medics had got there sooner could he have lived? There is no money involved. I just want to know if he would have survived if the ambulance turned up more quickly. Apparenlty his aorta burst. Could he have been saved? Is there any reason for me to start campagining against something or is there nothing that could have saved him?

I have been having pretty bad reactions to the ceftin from the first time i took it, i thought it was just normal since it appears to be a strong drug. Now i recognize that is it more likely an allergic reaction to the sulfate in it. How could my doctor be so stupid? Am i missing something here, is sodium lauryl sulfate not considered a sulpha medication? Should i continue taking the ceftin despite my obvious allergy to it? Ive been taking it for 2 days and id hate to lose that time with antibiotics and have to start over on a new one. I just want to be done with this and im starting to lose my mind over this entire ordeal. I was originally prescribed this for a ear/throat infection.
Would amoxacillin be ok to take for something like this? THat i know i can tolerate. What should i tell my doctor when i go back to see him on monday and tell him he prescribed me a drug that i told him i was allergic to? Is it legal to kick him in the balls and spit in his face? please advise.

I am 23 years old and have had numbness in my feet and calves with slight pain in my calves from time to time. This has been constant pain with no period of absense for 2 months now. I went to a neurologist and he just pricked my feet with a needle and then chocked it up to neuropathy caused by pre-diabetes. Is this possible? I thought it took a long time for people to develope neuropathy complications from diabetes. He prescribed me Topamax, and it hasn't help. Not to mention I don't like that medication.

What else could be going on? I am fairly healthy (although overweight from PCOS), and active physically on my feet. I feel like the doctor blew me off and that his diagnosis was not thorough. The numbess/pins & needles feeling is constant 24 hrs.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Where ever you go. All they talk about is how to find a cure for breast cancer, What about the other cancers that are out there. Why are they pushed a side for breast cancer. before anyone gets their panties in a twist. A few of my family members have hasd breast cancer. 2 who found the lumps and went to get it checked our now healthy. The one who ignored it until it got really bad. Did pass away. she is missed every day. Now that you know that get off you high horses before you answer.
I am personal sick of going into stores and seeing nothing but breast cancer stuff. I personal would like to see a cure for all kinds. If you can get shirts, pens, magnets for breast cancer. Why not al the rest?

My face is clear of infected pimples. About two weeks ago, I had numerous infected, reoccurring [sp?] pimples on my chin. ONLY my chin. It was awful. They looked awful... They hurt, I did everything I could to stop them from reoccuring... Nothing... I don't think I've ever seen someone with that many large, reoccurring [once again, sp?] pimples in one area. I think they came bacak again about eight times. Anyway. You want to know what I did... So, I looked it up online, and got an answer I liked... Something cheap, and natural... Garlic. Perhaps not the most apealing in terms of smell, but it works if you're desperate. I chopped a clove of garlic in half and rubbed it over the area until it is completely covered, and I can't say my face ever burned worse, BUT, after putting it on once in the morning and once before I went to bed I no longer have infected pimples. Of course, I do still have tiny pimples, but they are no longer infected. I would try this over the weekend. Good luck! :3

I have a hell of a lot of allergies and I had a scan done on my sinuses and it turns out I have a pulip in my sinus.
I wish to have an operation to remove it.

What I would like to know is;
Is this a day procedure?
How do they take it out?
Does it hurt like hell?
And will it stop or calm my hayfever when I have it removed?

Thanks for your answers.

Serious answers too please.

Hello,
I am fifteen years old and this Wednesday I have to see a pediatric cardiologist because I have recently had some abnormal EKG's. I am kind of nervous about seeing this new doctor, because I really don't know what to expect. Will they have to do lab work? Any more EKG's? Can someone please fill me in about what to expect on my initial visit with him? And info or insight is appreciated!
Thank you!

We all know drinking and drugs are no good but is it ok for a Doctor to do? Some sleeping pills are powerful and mixed with alochol can be worse. What if the family calls the Doctor telling them they see the changes in the family member and for their own safety, as well as the patient to take them away but the Doctor doesn't. My Dad was drinking and taking sleeping pills and once he parked his car in the garage and for got to shut it off till the next day due to mixing alochol and sleeping pills...We as a family have called several times to take them away but he just gave him another brand of sleepings pills
