I have very bad poison ivy on the top of my foot and on my ankle. I have had it for about 5 days and it has become very painful. It will not stop oozing and my skin has become purple around it. My foot has also swollen. It is becoming difficult to walk due to the position of the rash. I would appreciate it if some one could let me know of an at home method of riding it.

I know I'm over-weight,but can't seem to lose anything unless I starve myself, like eating maybe once a day. I'm a yoyo when it comes to loosing weight. I do try and watch what I eat,but it doesn't seem to be helping, even getting my sugar levels down.

I'm having a heavy head since the morning, I have quite a lot pain in the waist and legs, and feel quite feverish, even though the temperature does not show, it is just a little above normal, the main cause of my worry is that about 1-2 days ago, a very different looking mosquito(probably it was a mosq., though I am not 100% sure), bitten me about 3 times, and the marks were quite thick, I'm really worried.
what are there symptoms of??and what would be the preventive measures I should take??
Also I at times feel like eating, but when I begin to eat, I feel like throwing the food off, should I go to school tomorrow? I'm 16 years.

My husband has had a heart murmur from birth. He is now 50. He has a cardiac arrythmia, for which he takes a daily beta blocker.
Are the two conditions one and the same? What role does stress play on the heart?

He is on dialysis 3 days a week, they are now going to proceed with 4 days a week. He has been struggling with shortness of breath and most recently been sweating and complaining of having a tingling sensation in his face when he gets breathless. Because he doesn't actually have chest pains with these symptoms the doctors are not looking at it as anything that could be serious. But we watch him everyday and think differently. We are just trying to understand the tingling in the face its a new symptom we have never seen before.

Think about it. Our ancestors did not have indoor lighting; they
exposed their skin to the sun regularly. They didn't run and hide
from the sun, they used it as nourishment to generate a crucial
vitamin that supports human health in a multitude of ways. The idea
that "the sun is bad for you" makes about as much sense as "water
is bad for you" or "the Earth is flat." This persistent myth was
invented, marketed and publicized by an industry that profits from
a gullible public believing demonstrable falsehoods.

But why would the cancer industry go along with the deception, you
might ask? Because the continued commercial success of the cancer
industry depends on more people getting cancer.
The cancer industry has no
interest whatsoever in preventing cancer. The industry, in fact,
takes steps to interfere with prevention efforts and thereby ensure
the growth in the number of future cancer patients...

My 87 yr old grandmother fell and hurt her back. She has been basically bed ridden, on muscle relaxants and pain pills for the last 3 weeks. She has not had a bm since her fall, she is hospitalized and they are now going to disempact her manually. She has stage 4 kidney disease, osteoporosis, along with a few other problems. I was wondering what are the chances of recovering to the level she was at before the fall? She was very independant and could take care of herself. A few in the family seem to think once they get her to poop she will be back home and normal and able to function on her own. Are they giving her false hope? Are they just ignorant to the perils of being old. I just want to be informed so I know what to expect.

I got my shot 2 days ago, my arm still hurts when I move it, and yesterday I was in a shoe store when I started to feel nauseated, and faint. I kind-of joked it off at first but by the time I had gotten to the register I couldn't breathe, so I sat down on the floor as I started to black out, I yawned and I couldn't hear anymore, everyone was muffled and I felt like I was going to be sick, I was burning up. My sister took me to the bathroom where I almost fell over and ended up having diarrhea. I thought I was going to die, what happened?
