visited my doctor 5 weeks ago to be examined down below,because something didnt feel right,the doctor said that everything was normal,but it is still worrying me.visited the same doctor again yesterday,for the same reason,once again i was examined he once again still said that everything was ok,he said that the area he examined did feel different to the other side but it was still normal,& once again reasurred me that everything was ok,do you think being checked twice is enough,surely if there was a hint of being something there i would have been sent off to hostpital for a ultrasound scan,do you agree,sensible ansawers only please thanks still worried.

What made you think that something was wrong? did you fell a lump?
How old are you?
Have you had any symptoms to make you concerned.
Could you have STD
If your doctor was concerned of that any thing that he was not happy about I am certain that he wold have arrange an U/S or referral

Firstly, you've done the right thing by seeing a doctor - a lot of us are too embarrassed to seek help with things like this. Secondly, if you're not reassured by your doctor you have every right to a second opinion, because it is just that - an opinion, albeit a professional one.
Right, testicular cancer: When you examine your testicles yourself you are looking more for an overall swelling of one of the testicles rather than a small lump. A small lump could something like a benign cyst, which cause no problems and are perfectly normal. You are looking for a consistent change over a number of weeks, but do not do it more than, say, once a week. A swelling of one of the testicles would normally be accompanied by other things, most noticeably dramatic weight loss. There would also be other things like general feeling of being unwell, tiredness, and loss of appetite. If you don't have any other symptoms, chances are there's nothing to worry about. Then there is the age thing - testicular cancer is most likely to strike between the ages of 18 to mid 30's. If you're older or younger than this, the likelihood of your having it is diminished. The last thing to look at is whether or not anybody in your family has had a cancer in the past - if not the likelihood of you having it is, again, diminished.
I hope this has cleared things up a little for you. But don't forget, if you're still worried get that second opinion. Try not to worry about it and remember that if it your nightmare does become a reality and you are diagnosed with cancer it is one of the most treatable cancers around with the highest recovery rate. I would see another Dr and ask to have an ultrasound to be sure. My husband had a small lump and was diagnosed with testicular cancer. We are doing well now but if your gut feelings are telling you to get it checked out then get it checked out. It will probably be nothing but best to be sure. Good luck!

Hi
I had a bit of a worry back last year ,but i did feel a small lump and was in a bit of mild pain. i went to the doctors and he did some blood tests and also sent me for a scan.
The scan showed up nothing, went back to the doctors and he thinks one of my tubes got twisted and thats wat the lump was. No problmes since. If you have been to your doctor twicw there should be nothing to worry.

This is a difficult one. Have you a family history of cancer, if so do not give up see a different doctor for a second opinion.
I wish i had been as active as you and my first cancer would not have been so bad.

You can go to a genito-urinary medicine clinic (in the UK). You can be examined there and be sure that you are getting an experienced opinion.

You could always get a second opinion from another doctor. If nothing else, it may give you peace of mind. Best wishes.

Its not what I think, but rather that you are still worried. Go to a different physician and then you should be done worrying!!
