My son just got an MRI and they found something they want to biopsy today. Two lymph nodes were enlarged enough (2 and 3 cm) where they think he has a tumor, either in his lymph nodes or it has spread to his lymph nodes. They have ruled out any infectioned thru a blood test. First off, does anyone know if there is an infection that will not show in the blood tests, and second. if they tell me its a tumor after the biopsy, what questions should I be asking. I didnt ask much when the dr called last night and i regret that . I was just shell shocked to hear "your son has a tumor".
Any help woudl be greatly appreciated, we are starting from the bottom up with no knowledge about cancer. Thanks,

Does alcohol just increase blood pressure full stop. Or does it decrease it soon after drinking and then the pressure increases later? Or what?

I have had it at least 6 times this year alone. I keep going and getting treated, but it comes back in a couple of months. Could my bf have it and keeps giving it back to me? He doesn't show any symptoms of having it though.

my father has been an alcoholic for 14 years drinking whiskey every day. he now has yellow skin and eyes (jaundice) and complains about stomach pains through the night. The doctor has been treating him for alcoholism for a long time but he won't let anyone go with him so I don't know if he has been diagnosed with liver cirrhosis yet. Any doctors or nurses out there, what is the average time someone has left when they get like this (bearing in mind that he will not give up the drink. He is determined to drink till he dies)

Is this normal? Dr.'s have suspected this is the reason I am randomly passing out, and getting shaky, and weak. Though after receiving fluids through an IV, taking 12 vials of blood for testing, and receiving a cat scan, and chest X-rays, they can't seem to figure it out. I also, have cervical cancer.

Can you have just HIV/AIDS with no other STDS (like herpes or syphilis) also? I was told that everyone with HIV also has herpes. So I was wondering if anyone could verify this. Also does having a STD help contribute to getting HIV/AIDS?
