My son was diagnosed with eosinophilic gastritis in May. He has been on steroids since that time. He does not seem to be getting any better. Allergy testing, done yesterday, showed he is allergic to corn, soy, tomatoe. How long after avoiding these foods should he start to feel better. I read online that citric acid is a derivitive of corn. Are there any safe beverages that he can drink that does not have citric acid that comes from corn.

He was tested one week later and a month later for hiv and both came out negative. Should I not have sex with him? i'm scared please help!

about six weeks ago I had sex with someone who ended up being an ex-call girl, I didn't know until after. I had a PCR early detection test done and it cam out negative, so, obviously, at the time, she was clean. Well, the other night she came by and we had sex again, only I used a condom....what is my rick of infection? Do I need to go get tested again?

I have had mono the past few weeks, as of Tuesday, all of the symptoms, and the white spots have been gone, I am wondering whether my doctor is correct in saying that once all the white spots are gone, you are no longer contageous, or whether that is not true. The only reason I ask is becasue either today or tomorrow is my last day with my girlfriend before I go off to college so I would you know love a goodbye kiss before I dont see her at all until thanksgiving, do you think this will pose a threat to her?

If you contracted it in World War II while stationed in the Phillipines could it cause things like heart murmurs or do any weakening of the valves. Or could it affect muscles in the body?

I was born with a heart murmur but recently diagnosed with CHF. I am a 42 year old wife and mother of 3 teenagers. I was a fitness professional (for the past17yrs) who taught very progressive exercise classes (65%-80% MHR) that mainly focused on improving and maintaining a healthy heart muscle. I was a vegetarian (no flesh foods) for 5yrs. During those years my body fat percentage and body weight was within normal ranges for my height/weight and age group. I have never taken any drugs (illegal or otherwise) and I have never been a heavy drinker (an occasional wine cooler during the college years). I have never taken steroids at all and I have never taken diuretics. Three years ago my mother was diagnosed with CHF and she's 64yrs old. Contrary to me, my mother and Father had been alcoholics for as long as I can remember, intravenous drug users in addition to other illegal drugs. My mom is a heavy smoker and her diet doesn't contain vegetables or fruit in any way. Dad died heart failure
