You can have sex with him, but use protection, this includes oral sex. He will be tested again at 3 months and at 6 months. If there is anything, it will show up by 3 months something like 98%, but I guess the 6 month one is definitive, if he is negative then, it is negative.
I just went through this, almost same situation, but he got blood into eye.
Good luck.

Dear Christina
I am sure that you are genuingly frightened and scared of contacting HIV. However, please permit me to put your mind at rest on this matter.
First of all, you inform me that your boyfriend works at a hospital and due to a split in his glove, HIV Blood came into contact withg his bare hand.
You also inform me, that your boyfriend was rushed to the Emergency Room for an Immune System Booster Injection.
You also inform me that 1 week following and 1 month following your boyfriend was given HIV Testing by the Doctor's at the hospital and into which both result's came out negative that your boyfriend does not have HIV Cancer.
For a start, I would not be scared, but to the contrary, I would be jumping for joy of the result's from the Doctor's that your boyfriend does not have HIV Cancer.
If you are scared because your boyfriend does not have HIV Cancer confirmed by Hospital Doctor's, then what would your reaction be if the Hospital Doctor's had confirmed that your boyfriend does have HIV Cancer.
In view of the fact that the Hospital Doctor's have confirmed that your boyfriend does not have HIV Cancer, then to my mind, you don't have much faith in your Hospital Doctor's and there clinical judgement.
In answer to your question and in view of the fact that your boyfriend as been medically cleared of having HIV Cancer, you should not be frightened to have sexual relation's with him as you will not contact HIV Cancer yourself from your boyfriend.
I therefore trust that this answer's your medical question.

It will be very very improbable.
Viruses can only live outside the body for a very very short period of time. Chances are it was long dead before it even contacted him.
The hospital was onl following the standard procedure.
Quite frankly the only reason they make people wear the gloves is to protect the hospital against lawsuits.
It has only ever happened a few times but hospitals need to put the gloves into practice because it has become the law.
Only last night I put a bandage on a girl who had cut her hand open. It didn't bother me in the slightest because I knew that blood to blood HIV transfer was so unlikely. I didn't have any cuts on my hand.

The HIV virus has to get inside his blood in order to infect him. The skin is pretty good protection as long as it is intact and there are no open cuts or sores. It sounds like he did everything correctly after his exposure. He does however, need to make sure that he treats EVERY patient that he sees in the hospital as potentially HIV positive. He should wear gloves and any other personal protective gear required all the time - not just for those patients that are known to be positive for HIV. This is called universal precautions. These guidelines are for his protection and yours.

What hospital was this at?? No, you can not get infected by simple contact with blood that is HIV +, the HIV virus can not penetrate your skin, if your boyfriend had no open lesions on his hand his risk of catching HIV is zero!

you cannot get hiv from him because as soon as the hiv bacteria reaches air outside ur body the virus dies and is not harmful. Even if he has a cut and the blood gets on it. If the virus reaches outside the body it dies thats why you get hiv from having sex with someone because it dosn't reach the outside of your body and is a direct contact but im 1000% sure your boyfriend dosn't have hiv. Don't worry. Enjoy yourself with him and don't study it.

Normally you can only get HIV if the blood enters an open wound, or you get it in your mouth.
The test show he has not got a problem -- do not worry, but if you are reluctant to have sex anyway use this situation to end the relationship.

Be very careful until the last test he has to take. HIV can show up months later. Talk to the doctors testing him to be sure.

Yes, he could contract HIV this way. It is unlikely, but possible. He needs to continue being tested and to be safe I would reccommend using condoms.
