My cousin is HIV positive and before I knew this, I shared a coke straw (cocaine, not cola) with him. Minimal use, minimal invasiveness, no blood.
What are the chances that I could contract HIV through the straw? I've heard reports of Hep C being spread through straws, so I'm a bit curious...

for about 3 years now i have been on depression meds. and they never seem to help...they have been changed i dont know how many times and they never seem to work.. but im starting to think its not even depression. i am constantly feeling that everything is overwhelming..just everyday house work and dealing with my children and i am constantly cleaning and doing house work. i never sit down and when i do i feel i should be up doing something. i worry constantly about everything...bills kids and work. i never feel ilike i can just relax my mind goes ninty to nothing,,i feel ilike im losing it everyday...i would love to just sit down everyone once in a while and do nothing and not worry but i cant seem to it. does anyone else have these symtoms and do you thinks its my nerves or depression?? ive been on every depression pill they made and nothing seems to help this so im thinking it might not even be depression any advice??

Is there anything I can do this to prevent this? I have tried putting lotion on my hands before I grab the door to head out into the cold and that doesn't seem to work.

I was in a car accident and the cut on my face is going to leave a bad scar the doctor told me. How can I possibly get rid of/hide it. I do pageants and I would be so self conscious with a scar on my face.

My grandmother recently has been experiencing a rapid heart rate (about 110-120), slight dizziness, and unexplained tiredness. We have ruled out heart attack symptoms since there are no shortness of breath or chest pain symptoms, but she does have an esophagus problem (ulcer) and an ulcerative colitus in her small intestine. Please help any way you can, as this has been going on for about 2-3 days, 4 days tomorrow. Thanks in advance!

What is the probibility of it being passed to those living with me?What precations should or would YOU take if someone you knew had these and today they asked if they could stay with you ?Short term or long I don,t know.They have a family member dying of cancer nearby.and will die there as he can,t be moved.so Today I was asked if It would be alright if they stayed with me and my family!He has medical issues i guess, as He said "he's on state aid" so that means He isn,t able to work,He is homeless were he lives now.I,d like to help as this was a close friend25 years ago.But don,t know!this was suprisingly dropped on me.we,ve not spoke in along time and now this!I don,t want to put myself or family in danger of something thats (very or alittle)contagious.Is it possible to safely live with someone with these conditions?is like herpes were they,re viral / contagious from time to time.oh lord I need help with this one.There are NO orginizations where I live to assist him til ?WhenEverPLEAS

My boyfriend has prostatitis. I heard that men who have it, have to ejaculate often. Just wondering do you have to wait until it is cured. It's not the worst case of prostatitis, the doc gave him some antibotitics to take for two weeks. The doc said this is easy to cure. If you can have sex do you need to use a condom. Answers please!!

I had been horseback riding for about a year adn i started getting a little pain in my tailbone. I didn't think anythign of it until it got really bad all of a sudden. The trauma from the horse sort of built up until it just couldn't take it nemore. I have been to chiropractors, physiotherapists, had acupuncture done, as well as seen numerous doctors including a bone surgeon. Nothing seems to help. I use a dougnut but it still hurts, doctors have said it isn't broken buti haven't been able to ride for almost a year and i reall yeant to get back to it. Sometimes i feel a little improvement but it doesn't really last. THe bone surgeon suggested cortazone (said it is very painful) and mentioned the possibility of surgery but i have heard bad things aboutthe surgery. i just want to fix this so i can ride again... does anyone no what could help??

my aunt keeps telling me that it is bad to shower after ironng and i dont think it is true. supposedly she says you get tetanus and that your face gets disfigured. i think its all fake i really dont think its possible
