Dear Wife,
Your husband doesn't have vertigo and all that stuff their saying about, what HE needs to do, make an appointment with his physician, has he gotten a physical lately?, anyway, this will be a good time. Have the doctor run some Thyroid test, Cholesterol, & for Diabetes. Is he always tired, lack of energy, or gain a few ponds lately?...most likely he has high cholesterol.
Total cholesterol is considered borderline high when it reaches 200mg/dl. "LDL" is the bad cholesterol (artery clogging); "HDL"
is the good cholesterol (the artery clearing).
High Blood Pressure (hypertension) is defined as 140/90; normal
should be below 120/80.
Avoid foods saturated in fat, and processed foods; like cheese,
eggs (no more than 3 eggs a week), bacon, fast food must be avoided.
But then again I am not a doctor, and I can only speak for expierence; he's symptoms sound exactly like mine, 3 yrs ago.
Make an appointment soon!.

Blacking out or feeling dizzy from standing up is one thing. Completely losing muscle control is another. This is serious. See your doctor as soon as possible. You may have the beginnings of a muscle degenerative disorder. There are meds that can help but you must get a diagnosis first. The fact that you fell in front of a fire and couldn't move is terribly alarming. The post above about diphenhydramine is simply Benadryl an antihistamine. That will not help with the dizziness or lack of muscle control. On the contrary it will aggravate it.

Yes I have had it, its vertigo and can be taken care of with medication. Tell him to see a doctor ASAP because only he can diagnose whether it comes from the inner ear or is plain vertigo.
When I had it, my doc was telling me I was the third person coming in that day with the same symptons. Makes you think whats in the air. He prescribed me a drug made by Solveig Drugs at the time and it worked within two days and has never come back.

I had a similar experience a few years back, I went to the ER and was told I had vertigo. It went away on its own after a few days but WOW did I feel bad. You should try to see a doctor to make sure it's not something more serious.

Get him to a doctor. He may be suffering from vertigo. That is also sometimes a signal of parasites or amoebas.

Yes I have the same thing, he needs to see his doctor, it could be an inner ear infection because the ear controls your sense of balance. In my case it's Vertigo I take my meds and I'm ok. Please make a doctor appointment as soon as possible before it gets worse.
