I am having really horrific pains after my period. I had surgery for endometriosis, fibroids, and cysts 3 months ago. Prior to my surgery I was having this pain and thought that the surgery would solve my problem but so far it has not. I ended up being taken to the emergency room last month for the same pain and while I was there they did an ultrasound and found nothing. The doctor who performed surgery doesn't know either. Prior to seeing this doc, I have seen several others and all they do is give me pain meds. I am confused and frustrated. This pain is ruining my life. The pain is always on my lower left abdominal area and only exist for about a week and a half after my period. Any idea what it could be?

How do you learn to trust people when you have been hurt so many times? I just had someone I trusted tell me that everything I have said to him has been read by someone else. We had very intimate conversations and now I know it was all read by someone else. How do I learn to trust people again?

I have lived with Crohn's disease for 6 years......and I was wondering if anyone knew of a special diet that REALLy works to reduce symptoms? My symptoms are steadily getting worse, and I don't want to end up in the hospital again taking remicaid infusions for months and be put on a liquid diet! Please, any advice welcome!

My limited research, follows the historic record of Ulcers, that were long considered to be caused by 'psychosomatic origins'..finally a bacteria was found to be its cause.

Now Crohns, a bacterial cause has been found.

So these 'bacteria' are not that easy to be found, ie parasites.

The symptoms that they can cause, either by corrupting the intestinal processing system, by infection or by its toxins, can cause mental symptoms, can cause malabsorption problems that can casue cancer, or may cause intestinal symptoms we call disease, ie IBS, or Crohns.

The problem is that our current science is more focused on a narrow treatment of symptoms and not the true underlying cause that may have a spectrum of disorders or symptoms.

Seems the profit in pharmaceutical drugs, that treat symptoms may be a problem of focus.

So be careful the simple solution to a variety of symptoms, we call diseases, ie cancer, ibs, crohns...may be 'parasites'.

Good news the treatment is simple.

I've been having numbness in my big toe. It doesn't occur during a particular activity, although I have noticed it more when I wear a certain pair of shoes. I'm assuming it's a pinched nerve & don't care enough at this point to pay towards my insurance deductible (it starts over soon), so please don't just tell me to see a doctor. If you don't know, just skip me. :) Anyway, if it's just a pinched nerve, how do I "fix" that? I've had one before when I was younger and the solution was simple- don't cross my legs so much. Since this is in my toe & not my leg, is there something else I should/could do? Thanks for any info. :)
