Can anyone recommend an over the counter sleeping pill or a product that will allow me to unwind at night and get a good nights sleep? My job keeps me up odd hours and at times it takes me more than 2 hours to fall asleep after laying down due to being so wound up. Can anyone suggest something?

I also take meds.for Cholesteol, Acid Reflux, Arthritus, and for depression. My appitite is almost nill. I can't walk too far before the pain is too overwelming in my hips. I get tired very fast and I want to sleep. My husband and daughter can attest to my lack of appitite. Could accupunture help? Can I take anything to counter my lack of energy without jeperdising my blod pressure condition?

My stomach bloats with pain pretty regularly, no matter what I eat. I removed bread, still bloated. I removed sugar, still bloated. I removed bread and sugar, still bloated. I'm always irregular, no matter how much fiber or veggies I eat or how much water I drink. I'm not sure what to do, but the pain has me bent over and the bloating makes me look 3 months pregnant. This has been happening for the past 10 years at least. I've taken the meds for IBS and it helped the first week, but didn't help the rest of the month. I'm not sure what else to do. I've tried gas products, laxatives, etc. Any other suggestions?

Despite healthy people eating the right and healthy foods with good exercise, how is it possible that these people who take good care of themselves get cancer?

But isn't it suppose to be the other way around? In other words, I mean that people who don't take care of their health and eat fatty, unhealthy foods get cancer. I doesn't make sense when healthy people like healthy non-smoking, healthy people get lung cancer.

I know the causes of cancer is to eat unhealthy foods and not do many healthy activities.

But my question is......
What is the cause of lung cancer for people who are non-smokers and take good care of their health? The wife the actor Christopher Reeve(Dana Reeve) died from lung cancer even though she was a non-smoker and a very healthy person.

When you choose to answer my question, don't answer with "that's how life is" or "that's the way it is" or "life is unfair". Please give a specific and elaborate answer to my question.

Is nature responsible?

Has anyone known anyone, or been involved in anything regarding Munchausen syndrome byproxy? (when a parent uses illnesses that don't exist to make their child seem always sick. usually it is nothing, and they will continue to take their children to doctor after doctor to make it seem like it's something bad they can't be explained)
My aunt and uncle just lost custody of their 2 children (which my family now has custody of). My aunt was charged with munchausen syndrome byproxy, and they are continuing to fight the case. It is ridiculous - because for years my family has been saying there is something wrong with her...because she always talks about how sick her kids are - and how they haven't been to school in MONTHS!
If anyone has experienced anything like this - we are trying to reach out and find help with coping. We're not sure how to handle all of this.
Any advice is welcomed!

Thank you!

I have a question on the birth control ortho evra. I have doing the patch for a month. Previously I was on depo provera. I didn't have a regular period during the whole time taking depo, just spotting everyday, so I switched. Anyways, I took off the patch for my week off last friday and still have not had my period. I am worried that maybe something is wrong? Also, another question, if whoever is answering this if you are using the patch, does the patch bend with your skin when you sit down. Mine does and I wonder if it should be straight the whole time and I should find a different spot? Thanks for your help!

i got a bunch of bug bites (about 15; 8 on one leg, 7 on the other) and they are all swelling up. most of them are the size of quarters but some are as big as sand dollars. i have had this problem before but i put benadryl cream on them and they shrunk down. i put cream on these bites as soon as i got them and within hours, as usual, they were swollen to at least 3 times their original size. and now they hurt. at first they were itchy, but now it is painful to touch them. what should i do?

I was stupid I know you don't have to tell me that so only serious answers please!!!!! I visted texas. I love to run, but forgot my running shoes. Sostupid me instead of going and buying a new pair I ran barefooted; about a mile. Then later after I had gotten back to my aunts which was where I am staying, I was sitting there watching a movie and happen to look at my feet, andI I was starting to get blisters on the bottems of my feet, and they really hurt!!!! What should I do? I can't see a doctor since I'm only visiting Texas. And I can't afford to go to the ER. So is there something I can do for my feet by myself (Well short of going to to ER because I can't afford that)

Is it a real medical problem if I have NEVER had PMS, cramps or ANY type of pain during my time of the month?

I just wondered because a lot of people I know get all emotional and weird during that time of the month and i wondered why that never happens to me.

Im GLAD i dont have those problems but I just wondered how common it is.
