You are very lucky and perfectly normal.
It is generally a dramatic change in hormone levels that can make us emotional wrecks during our period. If you are in good hormonal balance and get proper nutrution, you should have much less problem with it. I am not sure what causes cramping, but I know that water and exercise help that.
I very rarely had these symptoms myself when I was in my 20s. Now that I have had kids and I have a husband* my periods are harder. It can be hard to regain your hormonal balance after pregnancy and it is hard to find the time to take good care of yourself once the kids need your attention.
Some women experience terrible PMS during every period they have ever had - but I think that is uncommon. Otherwise, anywhere else on the spectrum is normal and it will like change, change back and change again during the course of your life.
If you do find yourself uncomfortable due to your cycles in your life, I would recommend Wild Yam Cream - a great topical cream that adds progesterone to our systems. That's the happy hormone - we all need plenty of progesterone!
Peace!
* I tell you, a man seems to contribute greatly to PMS - I don't know how, but it seems to be true. Maybe it is all those associated hormones (and birth control hormone pills) in the mix...

The first couple of years that I had my period I didn't have any symptoms either..I thought I was just one of the lucky ones but then I don't know why but I started getting cramps and then moody.....so maybe you'll be like that and all the not so great stuff will happen later on or maybe not at all. Just enjoy not having it now!!

It's not a medical problem, it's a blessing! I never had any symptoms of PMS either, until I reached my thirties and had my second (and last) child. Then I got all the PMS symptoms at once, every month! Enjoy it while you can!

The advertising world wants you to believe that every aspect of life must be painful or problematic, so they can sell you things to cure it. Your cycle is normal and natural, and lots of women have very little trouble with it. Celebrate!
