I was stupid I know you don't have to tell me that so only serious answers please!!!!! I visted texas. I love to run, but forgot my running shoes. Sostupid me instead of going and buying a new pair I ran barefooted; about a mile. Then later after I had gotten back to my aunts which was where I am staying, I was sitting there watching a movie and happen to look at my feet, andI I was starting to get blisters on the bottems of my feet, and they really hurt!!!! What should I do? I can't see a doctor since I'm only visiting Texas. And I can't afford to go to the ER. So is there something I can do for my feet by myself (Well short of going to to ER because I can't afford that)

Soaking them in ice water will help the pain & swelling. Be sure to keep your feet clean to avoid infection. Once the blisters are open keep your feet clean & use a triple antibiotic ointment - like Neosporen (sp?) to keep them from getting infected. Stay off your feet as much as possible to avoid irritation & see your dr. as soon as you get home.
Good luck

First off, you have water blisters on the soles of your feet. This is not pus inside but a simple water blister caused by walking on too hot of a surface. Pus is caused from infection and doesn't appear that quickly in large amounts in healthy people.
Disinfect a needle with rubbing alcohol and gently pierce the blisters causing you pain and let the water run out. Do not tear the blistered skin. Place a band aid with antibiotic ointment on any torn skin. Wear cotton socks and slippers for the next few days. Recheck in 24 & 48 hrs to see if more fluid needs draining from the blisters. Don't pull off old blistered skin for at least two weeks so new skin can form underneath the blistered skin. Don't reburn this skin and in the future wear shoes.
If you insist this is really pus inside your blisters, then proceed directly to the ER as you have a serious infection that was caused by something other than walking on hot surfaces and you need to see a Dr ASAP.

If you get a blister, you'll want to relieve your pain, keep the blister from enlarging, and avoid infection. Signs of infection include pus draining from the blister, very red or warm skin around the blister, and red streaks leading away from the blister. Small, intact blisters that don't cause discomfort usually need no treatment. The best protection against infection is a blister's own skin. Larger or painful blisters that are intact should be drained without removing the roof. First clean the blister with rubbing alcohol or antibiotic soap and water. Then heat a straight pin or safety pin over a flame until the pin glows red, and allow it to cool before puncturing a small hole at the edge of the blister. Drain the fluid with gentle pressure, then apply an antibiotic ointment such as bacitracin with polymyxin B (double antibiotic ointment) or bacitracin alone. Avoid ointments that contain neomycin because they are more likely to cause an allergic reaction. Finally, cover the blister with a bandage. Change the dressing daily.

You can still see a Doctor in Texas as long as you have some form of health insurance. Go to a clinic (they accept walk ins) like Patient First (don't know if Texas has them) bring your insurance card and have them take care of you. Tell them exactly what happened and they will treat you for your feet and who knows you might also have injured other areas that only the Doctor could tell.
