I've heard that after a while of not eating your body start to automatically save any calories you put into your body as fat. But what if you don't eat? Does anorexia really work? I think it has to since there are alot of movie stars and such out there that have claimed anorexia in the past and they were deathly skinny. How long does it take until you see results?

I just got mine out last Monday, almost a week ago, and it seems to be going fine. It's still kinda tender, but that's ok. My problem is in my upper right gum where they removed one, there's this bubble-like thing, almost like a blister. Is that a dry socket? Am I in for some sort of surprise here? It doesn't really hurt, but it's gross.

I refuse to eat while on bed rest. I was a raw vegan before I found out I was Anemic and then my doctor and parents are forcing me to eat meat, cheese, and all that fattening, disgusting food. My mom says if I don't eat for 5 days I'm going to get really sick since I'm on iron pills and all.

I've fast for 7 days+ before. I'm not asking if fasting is good or not, or your personal opinion on fasting with water. I'm just asking what are the consequenses of fasting as an Anemic on bed rest.

My girlfriend needs to get some fillings in her teeth but she's got braces on and she's worried about how they'll do it.

Do they have to take the braces off before she can get the fillings? Or can they just do it with the braces on? She needs to get some fillings in between her teeth and she needs to get a filling in one of her back teeth and it's got one of those metal bands around it - how do they do that particular filling?

I was raised on fast food, Taco Bell, Mc Donalds. etc. every day. I am now almost 30 and am a fast food junkie. I am overweight and lately feeling very unhealthy. I need to know how to change my eating habits before I die at a young age.
I'm not obese or anything by the way. I'm 5'10" and about 230 pounds. It's not as much a weight or appearance issue, it's the inside I'm worried about.
I already had to have my gall bladder removed due to stones, and my digestive system is totally out of whack.

Ok im a mid teenager and i just got braces put on like a week ago. But ive been noticing the past two days that im swallowing wierd with my tongue, almsot like a tongue thrust. I open my bit slighty i actually pull back my toungue instead of pushing it to grab the spit im sucking back then i swallow normal. like im sucking all the spit from the out side of my mouth, the Front teeth region where mybraces are to my tongue and swallow. I swallow normal without my tongue toching my teeth but its when beofre im swallowing my tongue thursts a little bit to get the spit. Also when i do this im puckering my lips ALOT like inward sucking motion but inside your mouth with oyur lips closed. Is this becasue of my braces or is this a problem to be concerned aobut. Ive never had a tongue thrusting problem before so why is this weird tongue thing happening now with braces? I talk fine and evrything but is this a habit that will continue or will it go away as i get use to the braces? Answers please.

okayy well i`m going to be a freshmen in highschool next yearr..and i made the top band which is like realll good. and we havee band practise starting on tuesday..well it`s real important and if you dont show up...you cant march next yr..no exceptions. and like two days ago my throat started hurting reaaaaal bad....and then yesterdayy my nose got all stuffy,, and then todayy i just feel plain bad. i kindaa have a head ache too now...but not really. well i think i just have a little cold...and i was wondering what the best things are to get rid of a cold in two days...like does anyone know any REALLY good medicine or just something that will get rid of it..not make it feel better for a couple hors..plzzzz help!
