Last night a friend of mine had a heart attack in his hot tub. He was only 40. I am 23 and worked with him, but he was a friend that i joked with at work. So i would be interested in hearing your take on the following question. How long do any of us really have, are our lives just set up to end at any second, what about all the unfinished things we have to do, what happens to them? Am I next, could i go at any minute? it's sad and disturbing to think about, but it's the truth.

WE RECENTLY FOUND OUT THAT MY 7 MONTH OLD SON HAS ECZEMA. ITS ON HIS BACK, CHEEKS, AND THE BACK OF HIS HEAD. HIS DOCTOR GAVE HIM A 1% HYDRACORTISONE CREAM BUT I WAS HOPING FOR SOME OTHER ALTERNATIVES. I DON'T LIKE THE FACT OF USING A STEROID TYPE CREAM.

I've been using Crestor for a few years to manage my high cholesterol (which works very well).

I have always had high cholesterol. I run 4 days a week, I eat reasonably well . . . but I've been having 2nd thoughts about taking prescription medicine to manage my cholesterol.

1) Both of my parents have had high cholesterol (upper 200's) their entire lives. In their 60's, they are both relatively active and have no signs of heart trouble.

2) I don't have a whole lot of faith that the statin medicnes actually reduce heart disease. I know they lower cholesterol and tryglicerides effectively . .. but I'm not sure if that alone fixes the heart.

3) On a personal level, I feel that fixing the problem should be done via diet and exercise and I would like to try that.

Can anyone recommend a diet regimen that would work. Any proven "alternative" medicines. Also, if any doctors read this, I would love to hear their opinion on statin's and heart disease.

Many thanks

Does anyone in here been diagnosed or has a mental illness. I.e bipolar/manic depression. Are you on medication or do you risk going with the ups and downs on the illness.

I had a strange experience lastnite. While I was just dropping off to sleep, suddenly felt like I was sinking or falling and there was a strange buzzing sound in my head. There was a horrible sense that if I dont come out of it something horrible was going to happen, I felt paralyzed. Then I came to. It came back a few times almost like hiccups. What was this all about? and has it happened to anyone else?

I recently was stung by a bee and had a systemic reaction that landed me in the ER. Problem is I am a farmer and beekeeper. Even if I never touch the bee hives again I still am exposed to lots while picking...

I'm seeing a allergist next week. I definatly want immunotherapy, but I am hoping I can have a Rush course, as I see many bees every day, and am a little anxious. Has anyone done this? How common is Rush or ultra-rush therapy as opposed to traditional immunotherapy? Should my insurance cover it? Are their any doctors in Ohio who do it?

Thanks...

I am 3 months prego and my gynac recommends that I should have an Ultrasound done once in every 4 weeks. Though she claims it is not necessary, she say that is recommended. Is it safe enough for the baby?
