does not trust easially
paranoia in older years thinking everyone is out to get them
could be a bad mother/father themselves
drugs in later years to try to kill the pain
alcohol dependency for obivous reasons
low grades in school for fear of going home
could become permiscuous for lack of self respect
having temper problems with others in later years in life
does not make friends easially

Being a survivor from this I only hope I can help you.
Most of the time the child has no-one to go to for help, and if they should have someone they've been threatened of what will happen to them.
Like I'll send you off, I'll say your on drugs, I'll say I caught you sexually active. Threats go on and on.
Of course this also depends on if it's mental or sexual abuse.
Mentally they sometimes litterally beat the crap out of you with there fists. Telling you not to say a word. YOUR to afraid to, because of what will come next.
Sexually, especially if you are a girl. They tend to blame it on you. Some parents say a man should get what they want. Then if your parents find out you get beat over this.
Point is there's nothing you can do right living in a sick home like this.
You never feel that you really deserve true love, never think your good enough to be around anyone.
Sometimes if one is as good at keeping secrets as I am you can keep this hid for many years. Until one day it hits you like a ton of bricks.
OH MY GOD I WAS ABUSED AND RAPED. I feel everyone is looking at me. Should I just stay in the house never to go out.
Then it get's so bad you go to DR. and be put on drugs for PTSD and BI-POLAR DEPRESSION.
These things in life can drive you crazy, but only if you let it. There are true people out there who really care and will help you through the rough times

i didn't know that there were "advantages" to child abuse....
it screws the kids up mentally...they will then in return become abusers to there own children/spouse...
