I came across some old fluted tart tins, about 4" in diameter and 1" deep.

They were screaming "make me into something" at the garage sale where I found them. I have about 30 of them.

But what? Any ideas?

In Sydney, Australia.
Or, if you know a simple way to make them, that would be useful too!

I'd like the book to have drawings or photos of all the different accessories so I can identify them quickly to use in a specific project. Title and author, please.

It has a great finish and looks real. I can't find where a penny could have this kind of a finish in any book.

I'm a novice in sewing and know that you can get the radius by using the equation: R=C/2*Pi. Now, using the folded edges of the fabric; I've found my center point. Have measured the length of the radius and have marked both points on both sides of the center point. I'm just having a hard time creating a near perfect arch. I've tried the measure out a piece of yarn; one end on marking tool; other end on center point. I've tried the same method using my flexible measuring tape. I've googled this topic; found that you can use an architectural drafting compass; but they look to be complicated to use as well. This is beginning to really twerk my last nerve.

There are so many kinds out today. I'm making a wallhanging. The top and back are 100% cotton. Should I pre-shrink the fabric and the batting before I quilt it? Any special tips if you pre-shrink both?

I am making a baby quilt. The top in pieced out of cotton, the batting is a low loft cotton. I was thinking about using a softer backing, maybe like flannel or fleece, just to make it more snuggly. Has anyone ever does this? Did it work OK? Any other suggestions?

I am making a paper mache snowman I blew up 3 balloons different sizes and then covered them in paper mache, after they dried I popped the balloon and stacked the three on top of each other (to look like a snowman), I was going to tape them together and then cover them with another coat of paper mache but because I popped the balloon I was unsure if I covered it if it will get all soggy and make the shape deformed. Can I just spray it with something to make it hard (I still need to paint it. Should I paint it first?) any help would be helpful. Thank You

I am a "newbie" at making jewelry and my first project will be a bracelet for a friend. I am confused as to what type of wire I need in order to string the beads. I plan on using some silver 7mm alphabet letters and some 6mm (not sure yet) swarovski crystals. Do I use stainless steel wire with a nylon coating like accu-flex? I plan on using .014" diameter wire, is this too fine? There are just so many to choose from, please help!
