I'm looking for other things to do, right now I'm into:
Band, volleyball, tennis and piano.

I'm thinking about things like singing, salsa dancing, softball, those kinds of things. What should I do?

There was a vendor I was fascinated by at the Christmas Craft Festival at the World Trade Center in Boston this year. (Nov. 2nd) He made assorted products out of ocean stones. (candlesticks, toothbrush holders, etc.) Does anyone know what company/person this was and/or a website for this kind of product?

My mother in law passed away last year and as a gift to my fiance and father in law for Christmas I am taking her clothing that he is getting rid of and using them to make a quilt for each of them. This is my first time making a quilt, though I do know how to sew garments etc. and I was wondering if you had any tips to help me out with regards to batting, backing, finishing etc. any tips would be appreciated.

Thanks so much!

I am making some polymer clay charms and have given them to friends I was told that the eye pins came out of the charms. I baked the eye pin into the charm with liquid sculpey & it still fell out, can anyone give me any tips?

I like working with clay and making little knick knacks and stuff, but don't have and can't yet afford the kind of equipment needed for "real" clay (kiln, etc...). Sculpey is wonderful to work with in that it can essentially be baked in a toaster oven, but you can't eat or drink from any of the products you create. Is there any kind of coating or glaze that would make it useable for food other than a kiln-fired glaze? I don't think you could fire even pre-baked Sculpey products in a real kiln, but even if you could, if I had a kiln I'd just use the real stuff.

Does anyone (in Maryland or near the Maryland area, Virginia) know where any sewing classes are or design classes. My mother and I wanted to take a sewing class because my mother used to be able to sew really well and she wants to make her own clothes. I think it'd be interesting. Please Help!

I've got 300g of Sirdar Chunky which someone has given to me and I want to make something for my 11 month old son - a sweater or something nice and warm. But I just can't find any free online patterns which use chunky (bulky) yarn. Any ideas?

I am making paper mache snowmen to fill with candy for christmas, and I am not sure how long it takes to dry. I currently only have one layer on, and need to add 5 more and then paint it. I am just curious as to how long I am going to be waiting for the first layer to dry. I am using a glue paste for the paper mache.

So I want to make my own greeting cards this year for the holidays, but I don't have a scanner. I already drew the picture, (and yes, I like to think of myself as somewhat of an artist) and I'm thinking of going to Kinko's or Staples to make color copies on cardstock. I'm wondering if this would work, or if it's better to have it uploaded onto the computer first? Is it an expensive or time-consuming process?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. BTW, Happy Thanksgiving, everyone~

I am making a little deck of home-made playing cards out of card-stock and photographs. I want the cards to be durable and somewhat water resistant. The cards are small (2.5" x 2.5"), and I think getting them laminated would cost a fortune and be a pain to cut neatly. Do I have any other options? Would painting Modge Podge on to both sides of the card make for durable cards, too? Are there any other ideas?
