Yes, the coin is real. You can find them on e-bay even. Lodges will have the coins made, so there are many out there.

I linked one ebay auction.. just the first one that came up. Put "Masonic coins" in the search box.
You can sometimes find them at pawn shops also.

On further research, there is a souvenir one just like the one in the movie. But this is a movie coin, not a Masonic coin.

The Masons are cool, just not as cool as the movie makes them out to be. It's an American fraternity and they have no ties to the real Knights Templar.
