I am making some polymer clay charms and have given them to friends I was told that the eye pins came out of the charms. I baked the eye pin into the charm with liquid sculpey & it still fell out, can anyone give me any tips?

I thought about bending the tip but thought the hole would be bigger but now that you mention it I could try slightly bending the middle, thanks!

I had luck poking my hole before I baked it ... making it just a tiny bit bigger to allow for shrinkage and then adhering the pin, after baking , by sticking the pin in a good glue ... E 6000 is one kind that worked and Goop another. then sticking it in the hole after it had been baked along with the glue.:) I also had luck bending the pin like a hook and adhering it with more clay after the piece was first baked and smoothing a small amount over the hook shaped pin. This worked great on earrings and things that were flat backed:)

Smash the straight end of the pin with a hammer to flatten (widen) it before inserting. You might also crimp it or bend it or slightly spiral it in the middle.

Me, I usually use head pins through or imbed the eye of the eye pin inside a clay dangle and then form a new eye with the formerly straight end of the pin.

Bend the end of the of the pin and put it in as you are sculpting the item, molding the sculpty around it.

You would want to bend it a little bit before you insert it. That will make it stay in better.
