Seems she got tired of painting one-stroke roses and now is into quilting. Is the One-Stitch method she developed something new to the quilting world?

It is kind of unique. It's basically foundation piecing, where you sew applique pieces onto a background - but she has you sew the batting and the backing at the same time. I haven't tried it but it doesn't look hard. I'm sure you have this site already but I'll post it for the others reading this question, maybe someone has hands-on experience with it. http://www.coatsandclark.com/Crafts/Quilting/Features/One+Stitch+Quilting.htm

It seems to be a variation on the quilt-as-you-go method that's been used for log cabin and similar for decades.
