I'm bored all the time. Therefore, I must be boring. I really need a hobby to enjoy myself and to have something in common with people. Maybe, I can even make some friends.

I have a curtain wire in my living room. I have some valances hanging from the wire with those clips, but I think I prefer grommets. I have small grommets that will fit over the wire, but I'm not sure how to attach the grommets? Do I cut a hole first? What if I cut the hole too big? Will the hole fray? I'm really not sure if it's even worth it. Any thoughts? I made the valances from cotton home dec material from Hancock. Thanks!

I wanted to put up a black stencil image up in my house (on a plasticcy fabric roller blind) around 2m x 2m. I was thinking along the lines of maybe using a roll of black sticky back plastic and cutting out the shape, or buying a large piece of black cloth, and maybe attatching this with glue (although i'd much prefer not to use glue). Any sugestions on what material to use and also how to go about making a large template to cut by.

I have the George Washington coin, but I would like to start collecting the others. What is the best way to obtain these? I do not want to buy them, as I only want one of each, since I'm not collecting for big profit later. It's just something I think would be neat to have, like the State quarters. Would the bank give you them if you wanted them for change? Thanks, and I appreciate the help!

I'm altering a paper pattern before I cut out the material. Have never altered a pattern before so am a complete novice. Most measurements seem to be OK (bust/waist/shoulder) but the neckline is huge. I bought largesize pattern to accommodate bust but I'm only small across shoulders. On pattern CB to shoulder seam is 7" while my real CB to shoulderseam is only 4.5". Similar discrepancy on front pattern piece but scoop neckline at front so I can't quite see how to deal with measurement for that. Should I put darts in the paper pattern pieces before I cut? If so, whereabouts on neckline should they start and how far should I taper them onto bodice and in what direction?(both front and back). I don't want to start cutting out as it is and then have to put darts in the material to close the neck up if I can help it. Is there any way round this? Help please.
