I'm trying to weld my glasses back together and super glue didn't work. So I'm looking for a way I can weld using a lighter and other supplies commonly found in a house.

First of all, go to a glasses company and find out how much it will cost to put your current lenses in a new pair of lower cost frames.
You are talking about a high stress repair. The plastic, if it melts, and not all do, will look pretty ugly when done.
I would recommend you use a different kind of glue and reinforcing wire. The wire should be paper clips or similar and you should spend a fair amount of time bracing the glasses in postion and shaping the wire to exactly match the form of the frame. Clean the wire and the frame with soapy water, rinse and clean with rubbing alcohol. Use a high strength glue like E-6000 or one of the Goop products and lay down a thin layer, put the wire into the layer, pushing with another paper clip or toothpick, and then put a thin layer over.
Do on both side, putting the wire on the near and far sides relative to the way they want to bend to break. Let dry for a long time before moving, at least over night. You may wish to practice with an old pair or by breaking a stick of about the right size.
