Sorry, but you cannot with what you have. What you need is Zepher knitting needles, 4 to a pack or circular knitting needles.

Sorry I can't give you a knitting answer, but in crocheting I alternate 2 squares in one chain, then one in a chain, one in a chain. You may have to play with it a bit, but you'll find what works.

you want make something circular but you dont want to use double pointed needles.
