I have used tacky glue before on puzzels just be-careful. I wouldn't suggest usinging it all the time.

It should work fine.

"White glue" is what's most often used to glue regular puzzle pieces permanently, in fact , and tacky glue is just an extra thick version of a white glue.
White glues work best on porous surfaces... and paper/cardboard/wood are all porous. The only problem might be if the kind of "board" you used had a very slick surface, in which case just sanding it a bit before gluing should work well.

In fact, if you want to give the front of the puzzle a glossy finish, or just seal it from that side too, just thin down the tacky glue (or a regular white glue like Elmer's GlueAll,) then apply it and dry.. it will dry clear.

That stuff sticks most stuff....you can try it, but you know you will never be able to take it out right?

I teach first grade and we use it in everything.....go for it as long as you want to keep the puzzle together forever
