Does poster paint cut it? Or do I need to use the paint that they use on walls and ceilings? I'm a newbie at crafting but would like to know what to do before I start, I get discouraged by failing at experiments.... Thanks.

Has anyone else heard of them? They are sold at craft stores in the same department as floral design supplies, as vase fillers for fresh or silk flower arrangements.
They start out as tiny hard spheres; the clear color variety looks just like the silicone dessicant found in shoe boxes (to keep them dry). When you leave them in water for about 1 hour each one swells up to about marble size and becomes a beautiful clear or colored sparkling orb. Then they are squishy and slippery. Most amusing.
The package is about 2 inches across and contains 200 or so. They come in clear, blue, and green so far but they CAN be colored with food coloring as they expand.
Warm water makes them expand faster.
They shrink back to original size when they dry out in about a week!
Salt destroys them completely.
What the heck are they???

I found it in my uncles old subbuteo set which he left me

On one side it has the year "1896" with an illustration of what looks like a knight on a horse slaying a dragon.

On the other side is the inscription: "VICTORIA • DEI • GRA • BRITT • REGINA • FID • DEF • IND • IMP"

It is approximately 39mm in diameter

and approximately 2mm in depth

For 4H, my son is signed up to make a latch hook rug, which he's done before, but it can't be from a kit. Are there stores that sell the "background thing with the little squares", and patterns (or are there sites that let you download free patterns)? And do stores sell yarn in little bundles, or would we need to buy balls of yarn and cut it to size? Any input would be appreciated, thank you.

Ok, i have this red and white checkered trolley bag, it looks o-k, but it needs something to make it look fabulous or at least reasonably good looking to use for college. Any ideas? how would you spruce it up in a good way, no crappy emos telling me to stick a hundred badges on it and iron on patches please.

At the moment it just looks like it was knicked from an old lady.

I don't want any of the cute kid crafts I want some gruesome and terrifying craft ideas like something that has to do with Micheal Myers, Freddy Kruger, Jason Vorhees or Leatherface.

Thanks for any of the help I really appreciate it, I really want to make a scary haunted house for halloween.

I work at a zoo camp for kids and was looking up crafts online and was wondering if hot gluing felt was secure enough to close pieces together? I wanted to make these frog bean bag things and it said to use hot glue to close it up, but i'm not sure if that's secure. I don't want the kids going home and playing with the frog and it breaking and having the beans go everywhere. I was also thinking of stapling.
