I'm 27 and I like glitter. Should I be denied the right to make my paper crafts sparkle simply because it's childish?

My friend collects model trains (HO scale apparantly). He is after a model of the German 'ICE' train and a modern red and white Intercity train. Does this mean anything to anybody and do you know the best manufacturers, cost, etc.? Sorry, I would ask my friend but I want to surprise him. Any help gratefully appreciated.....

i'm looking for the name of a certain type of cloth - usually with very bright flowers and it's waterproof, almost plastic-y feel to it. it is often used for placemats or table cloths but sometimes tote bags. it is sometimes even sold just as cloth. it usually has loud colored, bright flowers on it or else stripes or plaid or something. does anyone know what i'm talking about? please help!

It's the fabric with a stretchy top and straight bottom, often used for "instant skirts" or "instant dresses". Where can you find it? Is there anywhere online? I've tried a lot of fabric stores already.

I'm trying to find where I can get the fabric but I don't know what to call it. It's one of those "one seem instant skirt/dress" fabrics. It has a stretchy top and straight bottom. I tried searching fabric stores but nobody seems to have it.

I also would like some suggestions for faces. I'm planning on painting on the eyes, eyebrows, and mouth, along with using some sculpting methods to hold the face shape in place.

I have already completed the body and head of the doll.

Acrylic and textile paints tend to dry hard. I want to achieve that flat, "Sharpie" look without having to use a Sharpie. Will the dye run while I'm painting? (I'm trying to make my own vintage shirts.) Thanks!

I need creative and effective ways to keep your diary closed from snooping eyes. (I don't want to write "KEEP OUT" on the cover!) My diary is always out and about wherever I go, and I really need help. It's not really a diary; its a crappy spiral notebook designated for my daily thoughts. There has to be someway to keep it closed. I have a hole puncher, rubber bands, staples and little knick knacks like that and there has to be someway to put it together...

I found a how to website, but it has several different techniques. I'm not sure if I should use a running stitch, or backstitch, or slipstitch, or catch stitch, or prickstitch, etc........I have never sewed anything before except buttons. I am a perfectionist and do not want to see the thread on the outside of the case. And I want it to last a long time.

Hello,

I bought a pack of shrinky dinks for ink jet printers from the shrinky dinks official website and I printed one sheet from my HP Inkjet Printer. When it printed I waited 2 min like the directions said to do and after that I touched the side of an image to see if it had dried. The ink was wet and went all over the place. I still ignored that and cut them out and baked them. After baking them the image came out good but when I touched it the ink was still wet. Isn't it supposed to dry? This was my second time buying shirnky dinks from the website and it came out fine the first time I did it. Its messing up for reason even though I'm using the directions correctly.

Anyone know the reason why this is happening?

I want to make a 5' 5" quarterpipe out of wood for skateboarding, (you know, a mini ramp) and I need to know which shops to go to (like Home Depot, no locals) to get these supplies (note: I am not very familar with woodworking, screws, etc. so please help out if you have created anything like a wooden ramp before):
3 to 5 sheets of plywood
3 to 5 sheets of Masonite
at least 12 2x4s
a steel or any metal round pipe
any screw (please tell me which one's best for the job), and long
nails (not sure which ones to pick)
also, please estimate how much this will cost.

If anyone has built a wooden ramp before, please help out with this. Thank you!
