I would like some simple, easy to do ideas for at-risk youth. I want to think of a project idea that they can do...like crafts or something. They are 11-18 years old, so it cannot be cheesy. Does anyone have ideas that are not only fun, but have some MEANING? I am an intern at a youth service club, and I want to lead a project.

Thanks.

I have some packaging needs that would best be served by those flat thread spools that come with small sewing kits. The cardboard piece is often shaped similar to a dog bone, where the sides are big and the center is more narrow. The thread wraps around the narrow center. Where can I purchase these "spools" in bulk? Even a good place to have them custom made would be considerable.

I'm looking for a sewing pattern for a flowergirl dress. I really love those dresses that have the tulle/netting outerlayer with flowers on the inside. I know I remember seeing a pattern for it somewhere, but can't seem to find one anymore. Does anyone have a pattern number? Or know where I might be able to get a pattern for a dress like this? (between sizes 2-4) for children.

It is no longer round. Must have gotten crushed by something. I can still wear it but would prefer to have it completely round. Would it be possible to heat it up in the oven and try to get it over a wooden dowel of the right diameter? I don't think I can use a hammer because it is somewhat delicate similar to scrollwork.
Sure would appreciate some advice on the best way to do it myself. TIA!

A friend of mine has overloaded herself with some 9 West shoeboxes and large sized coffee cans. Her children, ages 3 & 4, have recently become very interested in arts & crafts. Any crafty ideas for these lil ones to recycle the boxes & cans?? :D

I have a store on Etsy, but people haven't really bought anything there yet. Are the pictures bad, the descriptions poor, the prices too high, or something else, or do I just need to be more patient?
