Well I can say that i'm not you so I can't choose your hobby, I don't know what you're more "in" to.

Try going to your local craft store and pick up a book on knitting, crocheting, jewelry making, scrapbooking and sewing. Take them home and read through them to see which ones appeal to you. There's also photography, just take a camera with you every where you go and don't be afraid to snap the shutter when you see something you like.

Or perhaps think of making something you'd be excited to use/wear.
-If you like purses and bags, take up knitting, crocheting or sewing
-If you like hats and scarfs, try knitting or crocheting.
-If you like Jewelry, consider starting to make jewelry
-If you like photography and organizing pictures, scrapbooking is your way to go

Also- I wouldn't consider drawing or painting, those aren't really hobbies one can just "take up" most people who do those are born with those talents and know from a young age they can do them.

Theres dozens of different crafts you can try that are perfect for young crafters!

Knitting ang Crochet are really popular. Its not all duckie sweaters and baby blankets, check out knitty.com for some really awesome ideas. and knittinghelp.com is an excellent resource if you just starting. free instructional videos. knitting is my craft du jour. Its really cheap to get started, all you need is yarn and a pair of needles, my first project cost me about 5 bucks including the needles which i still use. Knitting is really nice because it seems like theres walys something new to learn or another project to tackle so you don't get bored with it.

Scarpbooking is another fun craft. people will actually want to look at you photos when they are in a fun and arty book. All you need to start aside from photos are sharp paper scissors, archive safe glue and paper (that means acid and liginin free. ) and an album/scrapbook. You can buy kits at walmart and craft stores like michaels, though they are pretty expensive and not very stylish. You can usually buy everything you need seperatly for a lower price, or at least about the same and have it all suit your taste and match your photos. If ther a local scrapbooking store nearby, that would be an awesome place to start.

Sewing is always a great skill to have and fun. You can make your own clothes and always be unique and fashionable! And once you get really good, you can do hems and alterations to make a little extra money, something all 20-somethings need lol.

Jewelery making is popular too. It can be quick and easy or very inticate depending on what you are looking for. it has the added beniefit of keeping you from every buying another piece of coustume jewelery again cause you'll look at at something at a place like claires and think 'I can so make that and it would be nicer and a whole lot cheaper'. You don't need much to start, beadings, findings (thats stuff like earring wires, clasps for necklaces, beasing string etc...) and basic tools. you can get away with just round nose pliers and wire cutters when you first start.

check out Craftster.org if you want some inspiration. Its a board full of hip crafty people.

I was looking at the other questions asked, and somebody has got it. Duct tape crafts. Let me make it clear that I don't take credit for this, Iike I said it was a response to another question, but wouldn't your family just love duct tape wallets, belts, etc, for all of their special occasions? They'd never wear out. Just a thought.

Quilting, sewing your own clothes, cross stitching, embroidery is fun, but if you are into more athletic things then rock climbing, running, Marathon, and of course there is all kinds of collecting hobbies-- coin, stamp, antiques, fossils and gem stones. Making your own jewelery is nice too.

play warhammer 40k. IT is one of the fastest growing table top games. IT is very time and money consuming though. But this should not be a problem if you have a job,.

There's a long answer I posted in another thread similar to this that you might want to read too... it has to do also with figuring out what you might be interested in to pursue as hobbies, etc.:
