Since the organic foods market is growing at about 20% a year, thought I would ask if people here are choosing organic?

My mom made chili awhile ago, and canned it (in a mason jar with a sealed lid). It's been in my fridge for at least 3 months. Is it ok? I know you can buy chili in a can from the grocery store...so I was wondering if this would be the same kind of thing?

Yes, I've heard and sang the song but I have no clue what they taste like. I became even more curious when I saw a gentleman eat a chestnut on tv. They look delicious. I do like nuts in general. Can someone fill me in?

I don't use fresh garlic too often but I'd like to keep a small quantity on hand but I don't have a clue as to how to keep it. In the refrigerator in an airtight container? I have a FoodSaver; should I use that? Thanks for any help!

For lunch today I decided to try a burger at a sandwich place I normally frequent. They asked me how I like it, I said medium well. Brought it back to the office and was starving, needed to eat to have my antibiotics for a sinus infection I have. The burger was completely pink throughout the middle. Rather than walk back to complain of this, I needed to eat immediately as I had the shakes, so I ate it. Now is it ok to eat a medium rare burger? If they ask how I want it, could I be assured that it is safe?
