French food has two styles: classical and provincial style. Both of them are served at very high prices, which is between $25.00-$100.00/person. It also involves drinking wine while eatingin a restaurant setting. What else make french food so complicated?

You'd think that people would buy it as a healthier alternative to ground beef. Along those lines, ground turkey is very popular, but it doesn't seem like ground chicken was had the same results.

Any ideas?

Just a quick question about bagged lettuce and other salad mixes. When it says on the package that it's been thoroughly pre-washed, is it ok to eat it as is, or should I wash it again? I know of the recent E. coli outbreak resulting from consumption of bagged raw spinach, but did that have anything to do with washing before eating, or not? Thx for your input--just trying to keep my family and myself safe! :-)

A friend of mine made a yummy sour cream dip using a packet of dried spinach that she bought from like a 'spice party' or something that she went to. I don't think they sell this in a regular grocery store. Does anyone know where you can get it from?

My brother started doing this many, many years ago. I also have a few sisters who also eat this. I've been doing it forever and now I've gotten my husband to eat this combination and he likes it too. Regular sliced pickles for hamburgers either dipped into honey or you can just drizzle the honey all over the pickles. Also when you go to a restaurant and you get a pickle spear with your meal, ask for a side of honey. It's so good. Just try it once and see what you think.

We have a large turkey (with turkey gravy in a bowl so it's optional), a smoked honey ham, string beans (i drain the juice out and cook them in stewed tomatos), sweet potatoes, mashed potatoes, corn, peas, asparagus, crab meat, brussel sprouts, cranberries, collard greens, macaroni & cheese, rolls, pecan pie, pumpkin pie, seafood salad, corn bread, stuffing, salad, baked beans, potato salad, brown sugar carrots, shrimp, egg salad, coleslaw, and more.

If you are wandering why so much food? Well, I have 5 kids so my household has 7 people in it. We have my parents and my husbands parents over, my husbands sister and her hubby and their 4 kids, my very close aunt & uncle, and my sister and her daugher. That's 21 people! We had to purchase a few years back one of those big picnic tables.. the adults eat at the big dinner table and the kids eat at the picnic table we push them together to make one huge table.
