Ive been eating alot of organic foods, you dont get all the hormones and pesticides. There so much healthier for you. If your gonna eat pasta use wheat, its better for you. Skip the potatoes and anything starchy. A good salad with light dressing, baked fish or chicken is a good meal. Buy fresh veggies when possible, not from a can, theres loads of salt in them. A home made stew or soup. Maybe a turkey casserole with veggies.

Chicken breast, cut in chunks and broiled on skewers. Serve over rice and have squash on the side. (I'm using pumpkin pureed from my Jack o Lantern as the squash. Yum) Also, try this great salad:

Best Ever Salad

Baby Spinach leaves or butter lettuce & radicchio mix
Dried Cranberries
Slivered Almonds (spread on a plate, sprinkle with sugar, microwave 2 minutes)
Thinly sliced apple (Fuji are best)
Poppyseed Dressing

Stir all together. Let sit for 30 minutes and then serve.

a great dinner consists of 3 main types of dishes of course; starch, protein, and veggies. a good example would be a bakes sweet potato hold the butter do some imitation butter if u have to i love them plain, there good for u because they have more fiber then regular potato's and more vitamins. the protein, anything grilled or baked again hold the butter a little doesn't hurt but don't over do it, i love grilled chicken with a salt, pepper, garlic powder, and Cayenne pepper; you might also want to try any time of light fish baked or grilled with a lite fruit salsa. and for a veggie... any type but hold the butter , or for cauliflower hold the cheese sauce.

My husband and I have been eating much healthier lately. Lots of salads, grilled chicken and fish, and vegetables (squash, asparagus, beans).

Tonight we will be having stir fried bok choy (from our garden) with chicken or lean pork... not sure yet and salad and rice (brown or wild or maybe mixture).

We also run together, since this past June he has lost 25 and me 15 (he had a bit more to loose than I did).

Oh boy. I just ate a cream puff. :( Honest. I should be cooking something healthy, too. How about a nice salad with strips of broiled chicken? Good luck to you. Now I feel really guilty! :)
