It's a variety of pumpkin grown in Latin American countries, and probably elsewhere too, called a calabaza. I bought it because it looked intriguing in it's bright yellowness, and I also figure it's probably low calorie, low fat, and full of certain nutrients. Ok, but does it taste good?? Whats a good method for a novice to cook it?

I went to a chinese yesterday and had a very nice chowmein with the exception that it had peanuts sprinkled in it. This was not advertised on the menu. I'm sure most of you don't care but i don't like nearly dying when i go to the chinese. Are they supposed to tell you if there are nuts in it? and what should i do to make sure they cange their menu?

A friend of my mother's, from work, makes homemade egg-rolls. She's from Thailand, I believe, and they're done with the wanton wrappers you can purchase at the store.. not very large, most people would probably associate them more with "spring rolls", as far as what you can buy at a typical Asian themed restaurant.

They are delicious, and I believe vegetarian.. the thing is, I'm trying to figure out a healthier way to cook them, other than deep-frying them. That's what my family usually does (I'm not sure if that's how she told them to cook them or not) but I'm trying to use them as kind of a healthy snack. Any suggestions? Can I bake them (and for how long, at what temp?)

Thanks!

They are selling Sushi in Chinatown. I thought it was only Japanese who eat Sushi. Do most Chinese also like Sushi?

I am doing a project on Japan in my world history class and I wanted to bring japanese food to help with our presentation. I need to try to find pretty much a finger food that's simple to make or buy and that doesn't have sauce or soup to spill for my classmates. I really hope somebody can help because I need to finish this before Thursday morning. Thanks!
