Sorry to say but the question leaves a lot to the imagination,if you are a tourist & are going to travel around the country it stands to reason that you will want a good meal of choice .one that caters to your taste & also is safe & wholesome.
The larger reataurants serve a wide variety of meals, you will surely find something that suits you, most eating places will gladly cater to your specifications & reducespices accordingly.Bread, fruit & cheeses are always there just in case.,i travel a lot & depend on these staples if I am in a tight corner, however i set out with a determination to enjoy local specialities.

What kind of Western food?

What part of India?

I guess if it's in a big city, you probably can, but it might be a little different form whever you come from.

I know of somebody who ordered pizza in India and the sauce was so hot the couldn't stand it.
She was a girl from India who moved to the US was she was so little she didn't even remember it. She married an American guy and had at least one child. They went to India once, and they said they would never go back.

My wife is from India, and I have been there once. I wasn't looking for "Western food" though. I'm not in a hurry to go back, but I loved the food--it's the 24 hour flight that bothers me and I don't think I can afford first class.

These days you can get mostly anything in India including McD's, Starbucks, Pizza Hut, Domino's and even TGIF's.

The food is more catered to the Indian public (so McD's Big Mac is a vegetarian sandwich or made with ground lamb, no beef in India). So it's Indianized versions of Western Food.

The bigger cities are very cosmopolitan.

You can get western food in India...it will taste different than what you are used to though. For example....I had pizza many times in different places and they used ketchup for the red sauce...not great. But you can get pizza hut and i believe dominos too. The western food in India is catered to the Indian palate.....just as any ethnic food you get in the west is catered towards the western palate. I think you should eat the local food....India has amazing food and its different in every area you go to....:)
