Bright orange-ish red sweet and sour sauce recipe?????
I am looking for the recipe for the really sweet bright orange-ish red sweet and sour sauce that you get from the cheap drive thru or delivery Chinese resturaunts. I have looked over soooo many different sweet and sour sauce recipes, and made a few but none are the copycat of the one you can get at these resturaunts. Idon't think this one has and soy sauce or red pepper in it because it is so bright red-orange (like neon) and has no spice to it, just sweet, like the pinapple juice. PLEASE if anyone works in one of the drive-thru resturaunts or prepared a copycat recipe HELP!

I ususally buy it at the asian market. Is the product at the grocery store the same quality? Is it safe to eat raw?

I am trying to purchase an electric Mongolian hot pot in Canada. It is also known as a Chinese fondue or steamboat. I bought one years ago at the local Chinatown but they cannot order anymore. The one I want is electric and stainless steel with the funnel in the middle. I need it for a Christmas gift. I want to buy it in Canada to avoid custom duties.

Can it be served as a main dish? Do we serve rice or pita bread with it? What other dish would go well with it?

I'm opening up my spice pallet and love trying spices as flavoring instead of salt on my grilled veggies. Need some help with exotic spices.

I get several 'you've got an answer' in my e-mail. Then I go one by one (because I've asked a few questions) in order not to miss one, and so I keep repeating the same questions. There must be a direct place I can go to just for my questions.
