Hi I am from Barranquilla Colombia, and I have many but one in particular is one of our most famous. It is called Sancocho! But it is not quick nor simple. I promise you you will get an A++ Please e-mail me if you would like so I may explain it in detail. I believe it is to long to put on here.

Thank You :-)

AREQUIPE:
This is a shortcut for preparing arequipe. Put a can of sweetened condensed milk in a pot of boiling water. The water should fully cover the can which must not be opened. Boil it for about 5 hours adding water constantly to compensate evaporation. Let it cool down for 30 min before opening the can and you'll get a pretty good arequipe.

Depends of where you live, you can buy Arequipe in the supermarkets or some stores (FL, NY, NJ, CA) and maybe also OBLEAS or BOCADILLO!!!!! (or you can order it online)
ENJOY!!!!!!!

You could buy some plantains (platanos: different from bananas!) at your local Latino market or some big grocey stores. You peel them by cutting into their peel lenghtwise. Then, take all the peel off like a banana. Then you can cut them either in long slices or slice it like a banana & friend in warm oil, turn them over. They must be brown but not dark. They are delicious! You can put some salt after they are done. ENJOY!
