calm. We have them over often and in the past week, the youngest has scratched the edge of my dining table, broken my trash can by jumbing on the foot press, scratched my kitchen chair by digging on it with a fireplace shovel, climbed onto the bathroom sink for Q-tips that are kept in an ornate jar. I know some of you will say she should be watched closer, but trust me, this girl is fast! The mom has no training in child rearing and we don't want to sound like we're constantly saying "don't do this and don't do that", but I love my home and the things in it we've worked long and hard for. What do you do when unruly company comes calling????

We're going to friend's for new year and i am in charge of bringing a dessert and a cheese selection...i kow what to get for everyone but not sure what i can eat..there will also be another pregnant woman there so would be good if we could be included :)
I know cheddar and other hard cheeses + garlic/herb cheeses are fine but i have heard that you can get unpasteurized brie/camembert etc - Does anyone know where i can get this? Im in the UK by the way...

People have mentioned to me that the only vegetarians they know are sick all the time. Lately, I feel like I have been eating a lot of the same stuff over and over - (ex- pizza, fries, grilled cheese, etc). What are some better dishes? Please list actual things you've made and not just recipes from a veg site. Any personal feedback will help. Thanks

I`m looking for a recipe that calls for strawberry jello, dream whip (or cool whip) crumbled angelfood cake, and fresh berries among other ingredients. This is my favorite recipe, and now I can`t seem to find it. Does anybody have one that sounds similar?

I've been vegetarian for 5 years, and I've been a member of peta for a while. I was just wondering if anyone else supports them?
I don't really support them, I don't like that they cause tension between vegetarians and vegans. i dont like that they use shock tactics to "convert" vegetarians. i just dont like the way they do stuff, plus i've heard lots of bad things about them, which i dont know are true, but still. i just dont support their message. i do like it when people become veg, but on their own. not because people showed them footage of factory farms. its a personal thing and shock tactics get quick, but short lived results.
anyone agree? disagree?

I have ruined several woks within days of buying them presumably because i keep washing them. Problem is I cook a lot of curries in them, and i feel I need to wash them after use with soap and water. SOme times food gets burned onto the wok and so i feel i need to soak for a short time, but the wok always ends up rusting or the surface becomes damaged in some way. I bought another one 2 weeks ago and its covered in rust and ruined.

What am I doing wrong?? Please help!!
