Okay, so I've started to experiment with different recipes and it's really fun, but I can't find any good criticism for my work. It's all biased to the bright side and I want an honest opinion. Some of the things, people aren't even willing to try, even tho i've eaten it several times.

this is one of my best recipes, but no one will try it.
Ultimate Tea
3 teaspoons loosely packed spearmint (preferibly dried out and full leaf)
a pinch of cinnimon
A pinch of sweet basil
A pinch of nutmeg
A pinch of ginger
A very small pinch of thyme
1/4 cup sugar

Boil all the ingredients in 2 cups water untill fully green. Add 1/4 cup sugar and turn off heat.

Meanwhile take a large bowel or mug and a strainer. Place a coffee filter in the strainer and make sure that it covers the entire strainer.
Carefully pour the tea into the mug through the strainter and dispose of the remaining contents.

Go ahead and taste it while it's still hot and if it is too strong than place and ice cube or 2 in it. Enjoy

My wife and I took our honeymoon near Gatlinburg, TN several years ago and I'm thinking of preparing some of the local recipes as a anniversary gift. Anyone have some ideas of a local cookbook that I could order. We ate at many of the local restaurants, so one that included restaurant recipes would be nice too. I'm looking for some true Smoky Mountain recipes from locals. If you don't know of a cookbook but have a recipe, please share it.

I've noticed an awful lot of this on here. I was just wondering why meat eaters feel the need to come on this section and rant about vegetarians? Are they really doing anything that affects you?

In a way I can liken it to the atheists that go the religion section, but I think they have a valid reason, especially with regard to politics. I don't see how bashing veges is valid. It affects you in no way, shape or form.

Any ideas?

My cousin is moving out of state in a few weeks and the only day she can get together is on the 22nd. We are throwing her a "Going Away" party. However, this day also happens to be my other cousin's birthday (and the host's daughter). She isn't actually celebrating her birthday during the party - it is more of a "Going Away" party; however, we don't want her to feel left out. Is it possible to celebrate both parties at once? How would we handle the decor? Half Birthday, half Bon Voyage? Or we could do a Luau maybe? I am confused. We just aren't sure how to do both so no one gets their feelings hurt. They are both in their early twenties. How can we have one party for two celebrations?

We recently moved to a new country and were given a real nice freezer. I heard some where that freezing things in ice trays is a good way to freeze things like tomato paste. What is the size of an ice tray? It looks kinda like a tablespoon. What are some other things I can freeze and use later to make dinners easier like onions?

I mean, what would you tell indeginous peoples' around the world that live in extremely cold climates? They need meat not only to for nourishment, but to sustain a fatty insulation on their bodies' to keep them warm. Aside from that, they need to kill animals to make clothing, and they certainly wouldn't let the meat to go to waste. Please, no answers about importing veggies to these regions, as it would be easier to feed all of Africa first. These people have been eating meat for thousands of years to survive. I think being a vegetarian or vegan is a great thing, but its not practical for everyone.

Aside from that, there are still tribal cultures that exist in every climate that would perish without meat. Should they become vegetarians or vegans for moral reasons?

following this line of thinking would I then have to bar parapalegics from my list of good eats? This would be tragic as they seem to me to be the veal of humanity.

My daughter has recently become very fond of them, and as she doesn't eat a wide variety, any suggestions would be appreciated, especially if there is a savoury recipe as well as a sweet recipe. Thanks.
