My daughter has recently become very fond of them, and as she doesn't eat a wide variety, any suggestions would be appreciated, especially if there is a savoury recipe as well as a sweet recipe. Thanks.

try this sweet one

- 1 cup of flour (I use a mixture of half whole wheat flour half white flour)
- 2 tablespoons of sugar
- 2 tablespoons of baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoons of salt
- 1 1/3 cups of milk
- 1 large egg
- 2 1/2 tablespoons of butter (put in a bowl and microwave until almost melted)
- 1/4 teaspoon pure vanilla

Mix all the dry ingredients in a large bowl. Then mix the liquid ingredients in another large bowl. Slowly pour the dry into the liquid a mix by hand with a fork. Only mix long enough so that there are no large lumps small ones are OK.

Pour the mix onto a preheated waffle maker (set on medium to medium high) Depending on how large your waffle maker is, Pour the mixture so that it just covers the surface. Pouring to much will cause it to leak out the sides. Mine uses about 1/2 cup to 3/4 cups

We bought a belgian waffle maker and it came with a great recipe book which included a sweeter recipe. The waffle maker is easy to use and the recipes simple.

If it's sweet you want, I always add a little vanilla to the batter of any recipe.
Savory waffles aren't big in my region.
Mama's little baby loves waffles! You are a dear!!
Search "waffles" and click Wikipedia--everything you'll need is there.{I just checked.}
