oi a minute ago i just tried a DURIAN. it is awesome! it's so much better than egg custard, so rich and creamy. aside from that, i'd have to say lychees too. oh and cactus pears. yum

My son bought a pillars ham and put it in the freezer. It was best before may 30(but its been in the freezer). He thawed in in fridge over night and then thought he didnt have time to cook it so put it back in freezer. Is it still ok to cook

I dont know if I am veg or vegan but I dont eat
-meat
-fish
-whole milk/whole milk products
-seafood
-poultry

I bought this egg replacement called 'Fit & Active Egg Substitute' and it says one of the ingredients is 'egg whites'.

I am not sure if egg whites are part of the chicken or not.

Please let me know if I can eat this

I bought it for a specific recipe, but then I ended up not making that recipe. It's whole-milk and decent quality, but it's not "artisanal". It's probably not enough for a whole lasagne recipe, and FYI, I live in the Pacific Northwest so really good, ripe, local tomatoes won't arrive around here for about a month. What do I do with this ricotta? Please share a recipe of your own (or at least a friend or family member's recipe that you've tried yourself and really like), NOT a link. Thanks!

I saw a recipe for something called "Indian Beef Patties with Cucumber Yogurt Sauce" in Better Homes and Gardens.

All I could think was, the spices and cucumber yogurt seem familiar, because I love Indian food. But don't most Indians *not* eat beef? I remember reading that even the McDonald's there use ground mutton instead of beef, because the Hindu majority wouldn't eat it. But I know not all Indians are Hindu. Do the non-Hindus eat beef?

Basically, I'm wondering whether it's me or the Better Homes and Gardens recipe creator being ignorant. :-)

I try to eat all-natural, organic foods, but i can't help but wonder if the ingredient "natural flavor" is really natural. My Kashi Autumn Wheat cereal has only three ingredients: organic wheat, organic evaporated cane juice, and natural flavor.
Why are they so ambiguous with their terminology? Are they trying to hide some potentially dangerous chemical food additive by terming it as "natural flavor"????

I am 34 male and an alcoholic. I`ve kown I`ve been one since I was 18. I`ve been on camprol & anti abuse. It is a very hard disease for me to get off.

Man, since the dawn of time, has eaten meat. Our teeth are sharp because we are carnivores. So, why do SOME vegitarians think that animals such as cows and pigs should dont be eaten because its supposedly cruel? Not eating meat isnt going to stop others from doing it, the raw meat will still sit on the shelves regardless if someone eats it or not, so why think you are saving animals? Now, lets all chow down on a Steak Dinner!!! YUM!
