I am 34 male and an alcoholic. I`ve kown I`ve been one since I was 18. I`ve been on camprol & anti abuse. It is a very hard disease for me to get off.
I think I`m am loosing some friends but its because they are starting to have kids and have been in a long term relationship I think or I don`t ring them.

It may sound generic, but I have gone to many AA meetings to support friends and it really seems to help them. they feel they are not alone and the people are really supportive and know how you feel. I would say give it a shot.

My father has been an alcoholic since he was 18. He is now living with his mother at the age of 56. Has lost everything he could possibly loose! House,2 wife's and my sister and I. If you are one then it is up to you to give it up. I know it is possible my husband was an alcoholic and after a horrible wreck(while drinking) has gone cold Turkey and stopped. Has not drank in 18 months.I don't know you but really bad things can come from alcohol. I'm not here to preach, but its up to you to control the urges! Good Luck.

if you ca't get to a meeting there are meetings for shut-ins : Loners International. Good luck !

Have you tried AA meetings... just ask the doctor who gave you the anti- abuse drugs to hep you find a meeting.
