It's an almond-flavored liqueur. Yes, most definitely, you can get it here in the States. The most common brand name is DiSaronno...I'm sure you've seen the ads. Most grocery stores will carry it.

all the previous answers have been right on the money. amaretto is an almond flavored liqueur with "Disarono" being the most well known. Another good one is "E Dolce" and about half the price. Many other companies also make it like Mr. Boston, Bols, Llords" and "Leroux", but these generally taste like watered down versions and have a much lower "proof" than Disarono or E Dolce.

The term amaretto refers to a sweet liqueur made from a basic infusion of the stones of drupe fruits, such as peaches, as well as a related almond biscotto. Amaretto is often thought to be made of almonds due to the almond flavor. Both originate in Italy, where major brands are still produced today.
You should be able to find it in any liquor store in the US.

Amaretto di Saronno is probably the best of this type of aperitif. Any licquor store should carry it

i dont know whats in it but it tastes great and you can get it at any liquor store i like Frangelico (i think) its been such a long time theres also Disarono its pretty good

I don't know whats in it, but you can get in the US. I drink it at the bar all the time.
