I own a little home on the seashore in Miami. My friends and boyfriend are all going there to stay for a week. We have the whole week planned out, except, l'm not sure what to cook, cos l dont think we all want take out for the whole week....

will I lose weight by becoming a vegetarian?

Thank you for the great answers on how should i tell my dad that i want to be a veagetarian. Well i need a veggies point of view on this. will i feel better becoming a vegetarian? and will i lose weight? i am not over weight but i am almost there. THANKS FOR THE GREAT ANSWERS!

are floating mussels bad?

i just bought a bag of fresh mussels and when i tried to wash them i saw that most of them are floating in the water and some on the bottom, i remember i read that we should discard floating mussels,it didn't say why. is that true?

Pineapple squares??? anyone have a recipe?

when I was growing up a friend's mother use to make us pineapple squares. They were on a rectangular cookie sheet maybe an inch deep or so and had some sort of crust with a pineapple filling on top. I would love to make them, but have not found a recipe that sounds like what I'm looking for.....

How do i tell my dad that i want to become a vegetarian?

I am a young teen and i get a lot of peta e mails on animal abuse and after watching what some people do to the poor little animals it makes me sick. After watching an investigation on the slaughtering of cows i decided to try to bcome a vegetarian. The thing is i have mentioned it and it didn't work well. i have wanted to do this for months but can't figure out how to break it to my dad. I told my mom and she is cool with it but i don't know how to tell my dad. We are big meat eaters and eat meat every meal. Today is the first day that i didn't eat meat. I am scared to tell my dad cus i think he will look at me different. I know he loves me but i am scared of what he will say. PLEASE HELP ME NOW!
