Food & Drink - 7 February 2007

Three wines: Hayman Hill Pinot Noir 2004, Sterling Vintner's Collection Merlot 2003, and Alamos Chardonnay 2004. All bottles stored away from the light, in my basement so nice and cool, and on their sides to keep the corks moist. How long will they be good for if stored like that?

the " tazo green iced tea", how much does it cost for a tall ( the small one ) ? i heard it is fairly cheap? ( along w/ the other teas )

o.k so my little sister is going to be 15 on march 16th and we are going to celebrate it on saturday the 17th and well i wanna make it good she a major tomboy and a vegetarian. her freinds(about 13) will be here and her brothers and sisters and parents and its a pretty tight budget like really tight. and the house is pretty small and the back yard is even smaller and ther are no availible parks around and beaches might not be a good idea since there will be no transportation(we live in l.a)i was thinking a st. patricks day theme since it is the 17th but i dont know what to do....i need advice major advice to please and thank you : ]

I don't drink coffee because it makes my heart race like crazy, even if it is weak. I would like to find out if there's a kind of tea that I could drink instead to provide me with enough energy for school and homework time.

I drink different kinds of fruit juices, some of which say "from" and others that say "not from" concentrate. I am just wondering what the differences are, and/or if one is healthier than the other, etc.

I have only been a vegetarian for a short while and so most of my cooking experience involves meat orietned food. Beyond that I haven't been the best cook.

Anyway I am looking for magazines, cookbooks, webiste etc. that provide simple recipes for various types of food, wether it be Thai or Greek or quick lunch to giant dinner.

What's your favorite drink in the morning coffee or Cappuccino? Cappuccino tastes good and I like it better than coffee even though Cappuccino is cocoa and coffee mixed together.

Those handy little cups of noodles that we all love to hate are--at least I think---a good start to a delightful snack.
Has anyone put together any decent recipes with Cup Noodles?
I've tried an 8-oz can of mixed vegetables, but I think there is a lot out there I couldn't imagine.

We went duck hunting this morning and didnt kill anything but a case of beer. So we hauled out the boat about 9:00am and headed to the liquor store to stock up on more brew. There is a big cemetary off the highway close to the store and we decided to just drop by and see if any duck were swimming around in the lake there. That dang lake must have a hundred mallards in it so that fool ex brother inlaw of mine pulls out his shotgun and cracks one off only he doesnt hit a duck. Somehow he dropped a big white swan by mistake. He grabbed it and we blasted outa there and headed home. He thought it was funny only I'm worried. i ran into some legal problems a while back when I caught a manetee once in florida and cooked it and found out later it was a crime. Let me tell you it aint no fun being questioned by the FBI. Anyway we cleaned and cooked the swan and it really tasted pretty OK with lots of sauce on it. Is this legal and any recipes would be nice.

well o.k so the parents dont have any money well they do but its on a tight budget and i need to plan a easy simple and its for kids 14 and UP so the theme cant be like disney(the main girl is a lil not into that shes willing to mess around with like thomas the train and umm stuff like 80's and stuff) and shes a vegetarian and everyone eles isnt mybe 1 person or so..and she has a alot of friends and family maybe 15 or more people like 10 25 its a small living room and no yard its in march but i need ideas now
please thanks .....she is extremley tomboyish, and loves to hang out with her friends and likes to talk to them but she does have older siblings and she wants them to join them and her parents aswell................
