I am 19 yrs. and I live at my parents house. Three months ago I decided to stop eating meat and its byproducts, my sister who is 13yrs. old never really liked meat and she eats from my soy products too and doens't eat meat, eggs or milk. Our parentsare going crazy about it. They have very primitive ideas like.. "If you don't eat meat..you're not gonna be strong enough" .."if you stop eating meat you're gonna collapse one of these days!!"...."I am going to take you to a psychologist!!!" I am tired..I am tired of this situation!!! How do I make them understand???? I've tried giving them books..magazzines..articles..but they say "oh it's all propaganda to sell their green products!!" What can I do? they look at me like if I was a bug in the family!! or like if I'm betraying them!!! I eat healthy and I buy my own food...how to stop it? how do I make them understand????

I'm a can man myself. My second choice is draft beer. I only drink out of bottles if I'm really hard up. I just find that bottled beer is too inconsistent and tastes dusty at times. What does everyone else think?

I don't want any big scientific explanations, well, maybe a little. I want to know why it is so bad for you and exactly what is in it, cuz everybody says it isn't a very good thing for you. What is it?

I'm going to buy some steak for a BBQ and I wasn't sure what other cuts of meat to look for. Prime rib is too large and filet mignon is far too expensive.

Seattle (WA), USA: Seizing the fallout from the farmed salmon contaminant study published last week, one seafood importer says that he can source farmed salmon with more than 300 times less dioxins and 1,000 times lower PCB concentrations than were found in the wild salmon sampled in the Science study.

Richard Martin, founder of Boston-based Martin International Corp., told IntraFish that test results from an independent lab in Durham, North Carolina show that the organic Atlantic salmon he sources from four ...

Does anyone have an authentic Fattoosh salad dressing recipe? I have been searching for a good one but have yet to find it. Also, if you have any good middle eastern recipes in general I would love it. Especially the garlic dip that you get with the chicken tawook! Thanks! This is one of my favorite types of food. Any recipes welcomed.

Last year I turn vegetarian, and eliminated junk food altogether for better health. Lately I've been busy and I ate a poptart out of convienance. And woah! I was bloated, and had a stomach ache throughout the school day. Could it be because I haven't eaten junk for a long time and my body is reacting to it?

I'm not a cook or a baker, but I just got this breadmaker and have found hundreds of great recipes...

However, I live at quite a high elevation and I wonder if that is having an effect on my bread. It seems very dense and I'd like it to be a little lighter... Is there something different I could be doing?

More yeast... less yeast... less oil... I really have no clue what to do about it.

Thanks

If anyone has an authentic recipe for persian chelo kabab beef and the garlic sauce that goes with it, please share.

Before you answer: This is NOT the same as your usual tenderloin kabab on a skewer. It is made from ground beef and tastes entirely different.

Persian kabab is usually eaten with garlic sauce and hot sauce, and wrapped in a pita. It goes well with motabal, ox brain, humus or gafghazi.
