Wine can never be stored after opening, it should be consumed immediatly. Unless you have LVDV system that pumps out oxygen. If you have problem finishing it, just call me.

Based on your additional details, yes, don't drink wine that has been open for 2 weeks. Opened wine (whether it's white, red, sweet or sparkling) won't last much longer than 1 week.

Red wines must be consumed within 24 hours if properly sealed after opening. Otherwise, you might want to use it for cooking or stewing. I seriously doubt you will be able to consume it as a drinking beverage beyond the stated duration.

Eek! It's probably still alcoholic, but likely it tastes like poo. Or more likely, vinegar. If it was a tasty bottle, then use it for cooking! And if you ever do that again, make sure its tightly corked and refrigerated...and even then all bets are off!

Treat wine like milk, it keeps just a few days, (not in our house though, we always finish the bottle off!) GRIN!

If you cork it back up, it will retain its alcohol and be ok for the next few days. Leaving it unsealed will make it taste awful after about twelve hours in my experience.

red wine once opened should be used- either drink it or use it to marinade meat in. after its been opened it acidifies and tastes awful.
